Stayed for 2 nights.The room is simple, with just a bed and minimal amenities. There is no TV or kettle.It's a great location near the sea, where you can see the islands of the Seto Inland Sea, the sunset, boats, Seto Ohashi Bridge, and anglers from your window.If you open the window, you can fall asleep to the sound of waves as a lullaby.What surprised me most was the food. You can enjoy delicious, voluminous, and stylish presentation.It's a family business, and everyone is friendly. The landlady was talkative and I was able to ask about Shodoshima. His son is a chef and has experience working in a restaurant, so he was convinced of the deliciousness of the food.I will go again.It is perfect for people who want to spend some relaxing time looking out at the sea and getting away from everyday life.It may not be suitable for people who are concerned about access and facilities. It was my first time visiting.Although there is no TV or refrigerator, this pension is perfect for relaxing.It's a pity that the Wi-Fi didn't connect well...But food clears that up✨Since breakfast was included, I went to the dining room and found tables and chairs set side by side in front of a large window overlooking the sea! ️A delicious breakfast that my husband and I enjoyed while looking out at the sea! ️I was so full that I couldn't eat.Above all, the staff's personality is great! ️Thank you for the meal! ️

It was a wonderful pension where I was satisfied with everything: the view, the food, the people.Its history spans over 30 years, with the couple who originally ran it working behind the scenes, and their son now running the business.If the weather is nice, you can watch the sunset from your room and take a morning walk.It's definitely a good idea to include dinner.We stayed for one night, but it might be a good idea to stay for two or more days and enjoy Shodoshima more slowly.

Harley trip with two girls. Thank you for staying with us for several nights. My friend chose it because the food was highly rated. I'm so thankful that I was able to park my bike in a covered parking lot 😍 The first night's meal was olive beef steak. It was great!! ️ On the second day, we had a course meal. Very suitable for 🍷! I was about to give up on Shigeiwa because I thought it would be too difficult to ride on a liter bike, but the owner kindly took me to the parking lot and I was able to go to Shigeiwa, which I had always wanted to do, so I am grateful. thank you very much. I wanted to take a bath as well as a shower, so next time I visit, I would like to go to Olive Onsen in hopes that the coronavirus situation has calmed down. I had a little free time on my schedule when I returned from Shikoku touring, and I wanted to take a different route than usual, so I decided to go to Shodoshima in a hurry.While on the ferry, I read reviews about the hotel and chose it because it was good, even though it was far from the port.It's on the west end, far from the port.The exterior wall was being renovated, so I passed by because I couldn't recognize it.Perhaps because it is by the sea, the second floor up the stairs outside is the inn, or rather the reception.The first floor is a parking lot, which is convenient for parking your bike, but there is also the risk of being splashed with seawater during typhoons or bad weather.It was very disappointing that there was no refrigerator or TV in the room, and I couldn't see the outside view because it was being renovated.If it wasn't being renovated, I would have been able to see the sunset from the bay window, but that's a shame.Even though they sell the scenery, there was no point in choosing it if you couldn't see anything.If possible, it would have been nice to have a desk and chair by the bay window so that I could watch the sunset and night view while drinking alcohol from the guest room.Basically, it seems like you are expected to have your food and drinks taken from the restaurant on the second floor, and there is no consideration for eating in your room.I brought my own dinner and ate it on the second floor, but since it's basically a restaurant, it's not allowed to bring anything in, so if I had a plan that didn't include dinner, I'd be in a pinch.BGM is also Yazawa? Or Blue Hearts? I can't calm down with the live video.(Speaking of which, you can also choose your favorite BGM)Basically, it is not suitable for people who want to relax in the guest room, so I thought that it was a failure on the day.The next morning's breakfast is an original course-style meal that attracts many guests as they leave the hotel, which is probably why it is highly rated.For people who don't like breakfast, the portions may seem large, but it's so luxurious that you wouldn't expect it to be the kind of food you'd find in a fishing village.It would have been nice if you could choose tea or coffee and have it served in a decanter.I think young girls will be more satisfied if they come in groups.If you can afford it, it might be a good idea to order a plan that includes dinner.

It is a combination of very delicious course meals and extremely simple accommodation.If what you're looking for is delicious food, I highly recommend it.

The sunset is absolutely beautiful.

The room only has a wooden bed and a table set. There's no clunky TV or alarm clock, so it's refreshing (WiFi is available). The effect is that time passes slowly and you feel like you're on vacation, and the scenery from sunset to twilight is the best. The food prepared by the owner and chef is delicious, allowing you to enjoy the taste of Shodoshima, and the friendly hospitality of the owner's family will definitely make your trip a memorable one. There are no convenience stores in the area, so it's a good idea to prepare what you need in advance.
