This was a great place to stay and the fact that it is a Buddhist temple is a plus. The price point is astounding and the family that runs it was incredibly helpful. Our stay in Koushu was made by their hospitality and kindness! I would happily stay again, however I would recommend driving here and not using public transit for the temple is a bit out of town.

This is a guesthouse located in Daizenji Temple, which is also famous as a wine temple, so it's a good place to relax and drink while enjoying the tranquility of the temple. Since the facilities are in a temple, you can take a relaxing bath as much as you need. You can taste homemade wine, so if you're going on a wine tour of Katsunuma, this is a good place to visit as well.

This is a large temple that has existed in Katsunuma since ancient times. It is also a temple associated with the Japanese family, Hiderei Sasai, who became the leader of Indian Buddhism. There was a lot of going up and down stairs, but other than that, the room was clean and you could drink and buy wine made by the temple.

This is a guesthouse attached to a national treasure temple. It has a wonderful appearance. Think of the room as a normal guesthouse. The bathrooms are a little old. For guests staying overnight, the admission fee is 200 yen. Please stop by when you come to buy wine etc.
