This was my second visit in autumn to see the matsutake mushrooms that are famous in the area. The building is quaint, but the food is delicate and very delicious. An inn where you can enjoy each taste rather than filling your stomach.

I was a little late for check-in.the children were looking forward to itI thought we might not be able to have a fair.He was available at night.Living in Tokyo, I often use handheld fireworks.There aren't many places where I can do it.Let the children's eyes sparkleI was enjoying it.There are so many different types of rice.It was delicious.He didn't make a bad face and talked to the children.The people at the inn had a very nice atmosphere.thank you very much.

It was my first time staying here.The employees were very kind, and when I told them I was going to see fireworks, they did a lot of research for me and were very helpful.They were polite and the level of customer service was top notch.The hot springs were also great and relieved my body fatigue.I look forward to staying with you again when I go to Nagano.thank you very much.

Typical Japanese tavern with decent layout. Decorations and music is good at lobby hall. Service is nice but room is old, food is normal. The place locates at famous Bessho hot spring, traffic is not convenient without many sightseeings around.

I stayed there because I was told they had an EV charger, but when I went there, I was told that it wasn't a free service and that I had to pay by credit card, so I couldn't use it. There are probably people in this world who don't carry credit cards around with them. Shouldn't you tell them when you call to make a reservation?Also...the room is kind of dirty...the unit bath in the room doesn't have hot spring water...The refrigerator was empty with no drinks in it...The vending machine in the lobby was out of order and couldn't be used...In the end, I couldn't drink anything and only had the water provided in the lobby.What's wrong? It got me thinking.The large public bath and open-air bath are not big enough either.The only thing...the hot spring water has a sulfur scent.The thick hot water was really nice.The person who came to control the temperature of the hot water was also very friendly and nice.I don't know about the food since I stayed without meals, but I feel like it was a good thing that I stayed without meals.I'm really sorry1 star is extremely rude, but...I cannot give 2 stars.Regarding credit cards and cars...people have various circumstances regarding payment.Misleading comments are not good.

This was my third visit, and this time I brought my elderly father with me in early June.Last time I visited, I talked to him about wanting to bring my father there next time, and even though he was busy checking out, he showed me around each of our rooms.Although my father has bad legs, he is able to go up and down several flights of stairs, so we booked a room with a cypress bath.As always, we enjoyed the pleasant and courteous hospitality, food, and hot springs.Thank you very much for your concern.I'll bother you again!

Suddenly the free sunrise came. Seeing that I was on my way, I found an inexpensive hotel nearby, so I chose this trip.The room is a bit old, but the overall maintenance is good. The room is big enough (I am alone). In addition, there were only five guests on the day I went there, and there were no other people there twice.In terms of food, the environment is really good. Although everything is very exquisite, I am definitely full after eating. It is a bit biased towards local cuisine, and the taste is not strong. I am a little disappointed. Excellent place to stay. The water is 100% natural hot spring without circulation. The water is clear with sulfur smell. The food is served in a hall and tastes very good. Some rooms have private bathrooms with 100% natural hot spring. The staffs are really very nice.

This is a small but beautiful Japanese-style inn. The staff are polite and the hot springs warm you to the core. My favorite memory was watching fireflies. To be honest, when I was invited, I was reluctant to go, but when I went, I was surprised. I was really moved by the sight of natural fireflies flying around and seeing so many lights. I would like to thank you for inviting me now.

The room is a detached room with a hot spring cypress bath that I used in 2017.I was able to enjoy the Satoyama atmosphere of Bessho Onsen where I woke up in the morning to the sounds of mountain birds.It is a long-established inn in Bessho Onsen where members of the imperial family have stayed in the past, so the facilities are undeniably old, but around the time I first stayed there, the lobby had been renovated, and delicious coffee, tea, and soft drinks were served free of charge. It has been renovated into a lounge style with a cafe counter that you can enjoy at the bar and local beer available for a fee.It was a space where you could spend time while listening to comfortable music.Although it is an old facility, the cleanliness is excellent, and I would recommend this inn to anyone, including myself, who enjoys the atmosphere of a long-established inn.This time, we are planning to stay without a night snack, but there are restaurants, liquor stores, and Bessho Onsen's famous drop-in hot spring ``Oyu'' nearby, so it's a great place to eat and drink while taking a walk in the evening. Convenient location.For breakfast, each dish will be explained in detail. Also, the morning porridge was prepared separately from the white rice, so it was a nice addition to the breakfast the next day.Although there are not many staff members, I realized once again that this is an inn where each and every one of them is polite, comfortable, and has great hospitality.

I had high expectations based on the photos on the website, but when I actually entered the room, I was a little disappointed with the old furniture, the Yukimi Shoji screen that wouldn't open, and the dangerous bathroom door (I think it would be better to have a folding door). I was there.However, the abundant amount of hot water, the deliciousness and beauty of the food, and the very pleasant employees all overcame them! (Thank you very much to the person who welcomed us at the beginning, the person who served the meal, and the person who was present at check-out for the comfort and consideration given to our family.)The lobby was reasonably dark at night, and there was jazz, beer, and slightly bitter coffee, and the illuminated garden was lovely. It's a more relaxed and stylish space than your local cafe.This is a highly recommended inn.P.S. It looks like it would be good for families with babies. Although I didn't take any photos, there was a baby chair and changing diapers in the large bath.

On April 8th, my family of 3 went on a family trip for the first time in a while. I searched online for a reasonable accommodation at Bessho Onsen and made a reservation at Nanjo Ryokan. It was a basic plan that included dinner and breakfast, so I didn't have high expectations and just wanted to be able to relax in the hot springs. However, I am very satisfied after staying there. The lobby had a calm atmosphere and the free coffee was delicious. The meal was explained to me one by one. Everything was delicious and the quantity was just right for me. I was very comforted by the laughing letters placed throughout the museum. (The laughing letters I received after breakfast will be a good keepsake.) The staff's warm hospitality. Thank you very much. Of course the hot springs were nice too. (Although it was a little too hot for me) It was a place where I could get a sense of fulfillment that I couldn't get from the latest equipment and viewpoints.

I used it for a business trip in March 2024, with one night and two meals included.Although it is an old building, we had a comfortable stay.There were many board games for families.Both dinner and breakfast were delicious.I think all the employees are kind and it's a good accommodation.It's about 30 minutes from Ueda city, so if you have time, it might be a good idea to stay overnight at Bessho Onsen.The Shinshu guidebook provided in the room was very helpful as it listed recommended shops and sightseeing spots by the employees.If I have a chance, I would like to stay there again.

I used it in November.When I told my mother that it was her birthday, she gave me a wonderful present at dinner! My mother was also very happy.I lost the laughing letter that I received from the managing director and when I contacted him, he immediately sent me a new one, which I now display as a memory of my precious trip ^^Although the facility itself is showing its age, I felt the warmth of the staff and I was able to stay comfortably.I was also happy that they took care of my one-year-old son.We highly recommend this inn when visiting Bessho Onsen.
