Rakuten Travel's cancellation policy is written in very small print. I realized I had overlooked it the next day. Because the coronavirus was prevalent at the time, and because we did not know the situation, we canceled the reservation the next day, more than 30 days before the accommodation date. I was charged and paid a cancellation fee of approximately 130,000 yen. However, when I checked the reservation site, the next day the room was sold to someone else and was fully booked. We consulted Rakuten about the difficult-to-understand display, but they told us that they could not deal with the fact that Hoshino Resorts' display is particularly difficult to understand. It can't be helped because it was our mistake to overlook the cancellation policy, but even though the room was not wasted, they collected a cancellation fee and did not take into consideration the customer's mistake and circumstances. As for the attitude, I can only give a one star rating. I can't help but think that the unfortunate management policy with no hospitality is the intention, but please be careful when making reservations at Hoshino.
