We had the triple room with a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. The accommodation is simply great, the hosts are warm and accommodating. The history of the house was explained to us and we had a bath in the wooden bathtub in the evening. 10/10!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Oishi, a historic inn near Mount Fuji, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The inn itself is a beautifully preserved traditional Japanese house, full of charm and character. From the sliding paper doors to the tatami mat rooms, everything exudes authenticity and offers a perfect glimpse into Japan’s rich cultural heritage. The family that runs the inn was incredibly kind and welcoming. They were always available to help with recommendations or just to share stories about the local area. Also they were very helpful for sending our luggage to the next hotel. The highlight of the stay was the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji from our room. The iconic mountain was always in sight, offering a sense of peace and awe that added to the magic of the stay.In short, Oishi is not just a place to stay; it’s a unique experience that combines history, hospitality, and the beauty of Mount Fuji. Highly recommended!

The experience of staying in the master's house is wonderful. You will have a valuable opportunity to experience the history of climbing Mt. Fuji for yourself. The bath is made of cypress and is large and refreshing. There was all-you-can-drink coffee and tea in the common space, which was very nice.

Been serving Mt. Fuji climbers for hundreds of years. They know what they are doing.House gives you the traditional japanese feel, and they even have a mini onsen as their bathroom. They also have an electric bike for renting. They are also very close to the original start to the Fujisan hike, at Sengen shrine. They were able to hook me up with a fuji hiking stick and added their own stamp.

First of all, my room is not 14m2. It must be at least 30m2 (I didn't expect this while traveling in Japan). All the vibe, interior, facilities, and decorations let me feel the time passing through this house. My daughter and I especially love the bathroom (with the lovely smell of the traditional bathtub). The amenities here are not different from a 5* hotel.Although this is a 500-year-old house, I can tell that the owner keeps the house very well and made good renovations to make their guest comfortable. At first, I felt a bit confused because of the language, but the hosts were warm and caring in their actions. You will see that during your stay.

The house, more than 500 years old, with exceptional charm, run by a very kind family who respects your privacy and shows you around the place, is welcoming, picturesque and immerses you in the Edo era. An incredible view of Mount Fuji when you wake up from the room. Everything is there to delight you. They even offer us electric bike rental at a very good price, and it’s really a great way to tour the surrounding area. They even lent it to us in the morning for free. I recommend 100% unbeatable quality and price!
