A good place to stay recommended for self-driving is a traditional Japanese family house. Sleeping on the tatami really feels like staying in a Japanese home. You can see Mount Fuji from the balcony outside, but unfortunately the top of the mountain is gone today. The boss explained in detail, and he also helped push luggage and clean wheels. He was very nice. There are two rooms on the second floor with a shared bathroom outside. Everything is fine.

Experience the 200-year-old traditional architecture. Although it is cold in winter, the heating equipment is sufficient, the room is large, there is a station pick-up service, and you can also borrow bicycles for free to tour Lake Kawaguchi. Everything is a great experience! Highly recommended!

Rooms where comfortable and quiet. A great way to experience a bit of a traditional Japanese house. The owner of the place was extremely nice and friendly, provided various maps and recommendations of what to do. They even gave us a small gift since we were there for our honeymoon. The view on the second floor was amazing! The picture of Fuji was during sunrise and from our balcony. The only downside would be the location, though it is not bad, just not a lot of public transportation within a couple of blocks. However, they have bikes you can take included in your stay, and they are right across from a shrine and waterfall hike

A wonderful experience staying in Honjo-san’s home, very traditional and peaceful house with great mt Fuji view. Walkable to Kawaguchiko lakeside but highly recommend to bike around. During the stay, my wife was sick and Honjo-san drove us to the hospital and accompanied us for translation. Great place and great host!

The location is great. The boss is very nice and considerate. He will take the initiative to ask about transportation and explain where nearby restaurants are. The room is really Japanese-style. We sleep on tatami mats and the boss will help make the bed! ! It’s really great (you can see Mount Fuji outside the window)
