Manta Cottage Seaview Plus by Bukit Vista

Nice place and location. The rooms are nice, the bathroom has some problems, the water is salty, but you can take a shower. The room has a small refrigerator and TV, the air conditioner worked perfectly. There are no hygiene products, so bring your own. Our room was cleaned again before check-in and the air conditioner was turned on, so we felt comfortable when we returned from work. The staff is friendly, the breakfast selection is small, but it tastes good. There is a great restaurant nearby (5 minutes by scooter). The pool was not very clean, but we did not have time to use it. If you are a tourist for a few days and want to spend a comfortable evening and night here, this is an ideal place in terms of price and quality

Rusty sink and shower, salt water, it says there is a restaurant but it is only for breakfast, inconvenient location far from everything, not to mention breakfast. The only positive note was the sea view room.

The location is a bit far from the city / port, and quiet at night. But the view is extraordinary, especially from the swimming pool 🫶

This is the dirtiest number I have ever seen!!! Never stay here. This is complete unsanitary. It can be seen that it has not been cleaned there for a long time. The towel didn't smell good either!

Abir far off, and nice and calm seaview

We stayed at Manta Cottage for 4 nights while visiting Nusa Penida. On first impression, the cottage itself and the view from the cottage were breathtaking. It has an unobstructed view of the sea from their swimming pool. The cottage is filled with greenery. Check-in was seamless, and their staff were super friendly. The staff arranged a transfer for us to the harbor at a reasonable price. Now, the unexpected part. The AC in one of our rooms was very bad. We complained to the reception and was switched to another room where it was better but not the best. One of our room had an issue with the bed where it literally broke in the middle of the night, we complained to the reception, and they said they would fix it. Upon our return, we sat on the bed, and it literally broke again. We inspected the bed and found out the wood to be rotten, and the staff just put some nails to solve the issue. We somehow managed for the remaining nights, being extra careful on the bed. The water in their swimming pool and washroom was salt water, which damaged our clothes and jewelry. We had issues with the water in the washroom, where it randomly stopped working and would come back after a few minutes. The water pressure in the shower was super slow. The restaurant at the reception only serves limited breakfast until 10 am with only 3 items to choose from and no food after that. The closest restaurant to the cottage is a 10-minute drive. So unless you have a scooter or a ride, you will have to walk quite a bit for food. We found a warung about 20 minutes away who agreed to deliver to the cottage for a fee. The swimming pool had bugs and wasn't cleaned regularly. The rooms are not equipped with any fridge, hairdryer, or other simple necessities. The rooms were not cleaned regularly, and we literally had to ask them to clean it when it got super messy. They did not provide us with drinking water regularly. We had to purchase our own. The hotel is not suitable for disabled or handicapped individuals as you have to climb a lot of stairs. Overall, it was a decent experience, but we believe the owner should definitely look into improving their service. We look forward to visiting them again someday and hope things improve by then.
