This place was so beautiful! And very clean. We enjoyed how it still maintained the traditional Japanese style while including elements of modernity. The shower and bath tub was fantastic. The washrooms all have heated seats. It is walking distance to nightlife & stores. The staff and service was English friendly and polite. This place was quiet and cozy, definitely will come back to this next time we visit. It is a unique experience that is worth trying even if it’s a one night stay.

Very good inn. 15 minute walk to Kyoto nightlife and shopping. Convenient store 2 minutes away and small coffee shop. Has a quiet feel to the building itself.

My family of 4 stayed here for one night. The location is good, you can walk along the Kamogawa River, walk to the Imperial Palace and City Hall, and even to Heian Shrine (although it takes a short walk). There is a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook your own meals, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. There are several coin parking lots, so it's not an inconvenience, but I wish there was a contracted parking lot.Amenities and delicious coffee were also nice services. It was a townhouse with a relaxing interior and a nice atmosphere that I would like to stay in again.thank you very much.

Girls' night out for day use. I found it very relaxing. Since I didn't use the second floor at all (no beds or futons) for day use, I thought it would be nice if there was a separate rate plan for people like that. Also, I wish there was a place to hang clothes on the first floor. (There were hangers and clothes hooks in the bedroom on the second floor.)

Lovely authentic (but modern) Japanese house, perfect for a party of 5 and in a great location for exploring Kyoto. Nearby mini-markets (with ATM) for groceries and ready-meals to prepare in the kitchen.

You can see the courtyard from inside the bath, giving it a Kyoto-like feel. The rooms were also calm and clean.Machiya coffee and original coffee powder are also available, so you can enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee in the morning. All bath amenities are provided except nightwear, so I think it's a good idea to bring just nightwear when staying the night.
