Rooms with open-air baths are the best. The facilities at Sun Palace are good.Sun Palace has a lot of families, so if you want to spend a relaxing time, this is recommended.

The view, decoration and service of the hotel are all excellent. The public hot spring is also great and the food is average to above average. However, the in-room hot spring part is really disappointing:It wasn't cold on the day we checked in, but there was no hot water in the shower in the room after ten o'clock in the evening! The hot spring water in the room was not hot either, so I ended up going to the public bath with a chill all over...Once the hot spring water is discharged, it cannot stop on its own. It can only be filled up, which is really a waste.I booked this hotel mainly for the private hot spring pool in the room, but in the end I couldn't use it, so it would be better to stay in the main hotel.

Although the room price is a bit expensive, it is worth it.From the Sapporo shuttle bus, we were completely treated like guests. You can use the facilities of the Sun Palace Hotel next door. I originally thought that the buffet would be shared and it would be overcrowded, but I didn't expect that it was actually separate! Both dinner and breakfast were said to be the best buffets I have ever had on this trip! Highly recommendedYou can watch the Toya Fireworks from the bath in your own room, but you have to wait until the ship is right in front to see it. It is recommended to go to the bath on the top floor to watch it, so that you can enjoy the fireworks without blind spots while soaking in the bath.

Absolutely decadent hotel/onsen with amazing staff. Good buffet with a mix of traditional Japanese and non-japanese food (Shinrin room buffet). Private bath was an amazing perk and the fireworks in October are the best time to go!

I went to sleepover with my husband for our anniversary. The location was great and the extraordinary room was wonderful!I was able to spend a very elegant time in the hot spring bath attached to my room. The food was delicious, and I would like to try the kaiseki meal instead of the buffet next time I go.However, the dust on the floor of the room was a little noticeable, and the air conditioner filter was very dirty. Also in the potI didn't know if the water was still in it, if it had been filled with water, or if I forgot to check it, so I thought it was unsanitary and threw it away. I think I could have had a more comfortable stay if they had inspected the room a little more thoroughly! Also, the temperature in the hallway was too hot and the room was too cool, so I was very concerned about the temperature difference between the guest rooms and the building. The view of Lake Toya from the cigarette bar was also very nice, but there were a lot of insects on the windows.Although insects are unavoidable at this time of year in a place surrounded by nature, dead insects were noticeable everywhere there was a window. I thought it was a waste because I was there. There are also insect repellents that can be applied to the window glass, so I thought I could see the scenery even better if I took precautions. There is a welcome drink and ice cream in the public bath.Overall, I was very satisfied as I didn't have to bring a towel and the fireworks looked beautiful. I would like to go again! We had a wonderful time.
