Went with three friends and had an amazing stay at Komakusa. Even though the staff didn't speak much English, they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They were so helpful and polite, too. Not to mention the food was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay Takayama.

It's a limited-time lunch, but it's definitely Komakusa's lunch! It was delicate and flavorful. It's hard to find dishes like this.

No matter how many times I visit, I am always satisfied with this inn.Although the toilets and sinks are shared, they are clean and easy to use, and the rooms are comfortable.Although the bath is not a hot spring, it is spacious and relaxing enough for the whole family to use. After all, the food is great. I was told that all the seasoned items were handmade by Mr. Komakusa, including the karasumi, the chili peppers that accompanied the roast beef, the candied plums, and the steak that was so tender that it could be cut with chopsticks. You can eat the bee roe without any hesitation, and the flavored rice is exquisite. Just remembering it makes me happy.Breakfast is also unique to Hida, and will fill you up so much that you won't need lunch.I would like to visit you every season. This is an inn that I will definitely recommend to my friends.
