The overall atmosphere is good, the inn is well-organized and well-maintained, and the construction is good considering it's an old private house.I felt like the food, meat, and fish just happened to be purchased poorly. The obanzai platter is just like the mass-market osechi you order at the end of the year. But it was delicious, right? I have no intention of spoiling it.Also, after the beer, I was thinking of having a drink, but as soon as I sat down, they suddenly brought me soup that I thought I would eat with dinner, so I was a little disappointed. It's a shame that it seemed a little like, ``Please eat quickly and go to your room.''Well, as someone who is used to traveling, this is a common occurrence. It was one night, but the landlady? I met someone a few times who seemed like that, but he was a very friendly and kind person with a smile. The staff have some issues with the soup mentioned above, but they are generally good at what they do.But, the landlady? It would be a good idea to follow his example and try to smile more naturally. He really does look a little tough (lol).

This inn is located on a hill, and the narrow road can be a bit unsettling, but you can still enjoy the night view. The building was relocated, so unlike the inn in front of Takayama Station, it has a certain charm.Dinner is perfect for enjoying with beer or sake. The baths offer a view of Takayama town below, but it's best to arrive early or to take a bath without being crowded with other guests. It would be good to have a quiet night's rest.

It’s the best choice to experience an ancient house. This time we were lucky enough to be the only one staying in the house that day. We were so happy to book the entire ancient house~The meals are as delicious as the description and the portions are amazing. Friends who have ordered dinner should remember not to eat too many snacks in the afternoon. When booking a room, please pay attention to the boss's instructions on the child's food intake. He will suggest whether the child's age can be booked with a smaller plan (because the meal portion is so rich and amazing😆)The bathhouse is very comfortable. Because it is located on the hillside southwest of Takayama City, you can see some city views ~The children had a great time adventuring around the ancient house~

If you want a traditional stay, look no further. The inn itself has all sorts of old decor it's like a museum in itself. The cooking is wonderful - had a great breakfast and kayzeki dinner, for which they catered to my vegetarian needs. Lovely hosts.

Traditional minshuku located just outside of Takayama city center. The typical Japanese building is charming and the interior has some nice traditional elements such as an irori (sunken hearth) in the communal space. Our tatami room was very simple, but comfortable. We stayed here in winter and the little gas heater in our room kept us warm and comfortable. There are two indoor onsen baths, one for men, one for women, and then there is one small outside bath, which half the time can be used by men and half the time by women. Some of the facilities might feel a little old, but it’s reasonably priced and the staff is very kind. I’d say the only problem we experienced is that you can hear every word the other guests are saying through the thin walls, so we got woken up early by other guests having an early checkout. Can’t comment on the food as we chose to eat out.
