I stayed here for one night after skiing at Hunter Mountain.I checked in a little late because I had already taken a hot spring bath and had a meal at Nasu Shiobara, but the owner warmed each room and welcomed me.You can always stay in a modern hotel if you pay, but staying in an old folk house (green tourism) was a priceless and valuable experience for the children!I think there are very few people who have had a real experience of what Satsuki and Mei's house in Totoro looked like, even among the older adults.The owner's careful consideration and ingenuity could be felt throughout the beautifully renovated property, making use of the pillars, beams, and floor plan.Breakfast is simple Japanese food, but the ingredients in each dish are good!It was so delicious that even children could clearly tell the difference.After breakfast, we were guided around the farm while taking a walk with the sheep.The children were all smiles on their way home.

The facility was opened by a hospitable owner and is private lodging style, so you can rent it out completely, so you don't have to worry about bringing your children with you.You can eat meals around the hearth, so it's perfect for experiencing something out of the ordinary.There is also Bato Onsen nearby, so it might be a good idea to go there from the metropolitan area for a night.
