I stayed here for 2 nights on a trip with my wife. It's a cozy inn that feels like a grandmother's house, and it seems to be run by the landlady and her son.To say the least, I was very satisfied with the meal. I'm so glad I stayed just for the food. The portions were perfect, and everything from the appetizers to the desserts was made with great care and delicious. If it were served at a restaurant in Tokyo, wouldn't it be quite expensive? If you are considering staying overnight, we highly recommend a plan that includes meals. The landlady was also very kind and kind, and when I returned to the inn from Senjogahara just before dinner time on the second day, she said, ``You must be tired, so you can take a bath first.'' We were treated warmly from check-in to check-out by being flexible with our times. The room is quite old, but I personally thought that was a good thing. (Some people may be interested)There are two baths, both of which can be reserved for private use, but it wasn't crowded and I was able to relax and relax.Overall it was a very good stay. If I have a chance, I would like to visit you again sometime.

We had a lovely stay. The room, in a japanese style was perfect and we enjoyed the private onsen very much. The owners take great care of the visitors and we felt at home away from home! The breakfast was amazing and perfectly adapted to our diet. Her son even offered us to take us to the station on our leaving day.The location is perfect and you can enjoy the calm and nature. Thank you both for your hospitality!!

I used it the night before work.Since it's a pension, I thought I'd meet other users, but I didn't meet anyone and it felt like I had the whole place to myself. The bathroom can be locked and reserved for private use, so you can soak in the bath without worrying about being seen. The room feels old, but I have no complaints for a normal stay.

Lovely place to stay in Nikko. Close to a bus stop, so quite easy to get around. Cute rooms, with a lovely shared, but private, onsen. Our only regret was not getting the dinner and breakfast add on to try the food and spend more time in the shared spaces. Shout out to the owners girlfriend for driving us to the train station after we checked out. Those are the authentic moments we look for when we travel.

For a two day trip to Nikkō, we decided to stay in this ryokan. What can I say, we really had a great time! My husband and I are vegetarians and before booking we mentioned this to the owners, who immediately told us that there was no problem. Both dinner and breakfast were carefully prepared, with ingredients of their own production and local specialities, truly excellent!!! Our room was very spacious, half tatami and half with two Western-style single beds, very comfortable! After dinner we used the private onsen and it was a real treat! The managers are mother and son and they were really kind and super helpful! They also told us to take what we wanted left over from breakfast and they also prepared a small bag for us with some snacks and 2 bottles of water. The ryokan is also in an optimal position to reach the most important places to visit on foot (half an hour). I highly recommend it, we will happily return if we have the opportunity!
