My husband and I had a wonderful 2 night experience in this very cosy, service-oriented, well designed hotel with. French-Japanese flair to the decor and cuisine. Staff are very attentive, knowledgeable and tried very hard to communicate with us in English. The hotel has a great clear view of the star constellations and Mayumi shared the live star guide app to understanding the stars. Lovely setting of the hotel by the Inari river and rooms have a huge glass windows looking into lush landscape. Will definitely recommend and return if we are in the vicinity.

(Still like a dream ♡♡♡)When I arrived, I thought it was raining lightly☔️ (even if I got a little wet, it wouldn't be a big deal as long as I dashed), but 🚙 One person at a time opened an umbrella at every exit door of the car ☂️ and welcomed me ♡ Compatible✨💖It's a stylish hotel, and you'll be impressed as soon as you enter 🩵🩷💜💙💚💛🧡❤️ From the welcome drink 🥂, the lounge service continues all the time, so it's almost all-inclusive 🍷The pickles are also nice 👍The room had a nice design, and the large windows had large picture frames that looked like paintings🖼️✨It was a hotel where you could feel the warmth of the trees. Few places I have traveled matched the intentionality of the Shelter Garden. As soon as you step in you understand that the entire property was built with an intention. It isn't just a hotel for a hotels sake. It is built to change the way you view hotels and the way you interact with.I cant speak highly enough about the property and in particular the hospitality of the staff.Led by manager Toshikazu Igarashi, the team was fantastic. No request was too big or small for them and they made the Shelter Garden the highlight of our entire trip!

Thank you for staying with us for 2 nights from September 13th.It was a three-day experience where I was satisfied and impressed with the delicious food, wonderful music, and hospitality of the employees.We especially hit it off with the DJ over 80's Western music, and he responded to our many requests, making it a very enjoyable dinner.I didn't have high expectations for sightseeing, but I was able to see the overwhelming presence and beauty of Toshogu Shrine, Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls, and Ryuzu Falls, and I could feel the love that everyone had for Nikko. is possibleI feel happy so far.Not only me, but my wife and daughter also seemed to have the same impressions.Also, after checking out, my wife and daughter ate fried yuba manju in front of Tobu Nikko Station, which was recommended by the shelter staff, and it turned out to be very delicious.It was an unforgettable three days for my family. I'll see you again. thank you very much!

Stayed for 2 daysFirst of all, the hospitality of the staff is wonderful.I feel that the staff treats me with a sense of hospitality, rather than saying that I have been educated.The windows in the room are quite large, so you can always see the wonderful mountain view, so it's great for people who love nature.Hospitality that is different from ordinary hotelsI was able to experience the sense of craft in the mountains, and it was very soothing.The food is delicious, you can taste local ingredients, and the overall seasoning is good.Because it is located in the mountains, the weather can change easily.The weather on the day we stayed wasRain was forecast, butYou can even photograph the Milky Way at night.I was impressed to see the starry sky.There are many hot spring inns in Nikko and Kinugawa.I'm glad I decided to come here.

Visited on 2024年3月6/7日. We stay 2 nights at the Shelter Garden. The hotel is located outside of the city, north west from the Nikkō JR Station (access by shuttle is easy to be organized). The Tōshogū shrine is at a walkable distance (30 mins). The hotel is very nice with an original atmosphere. Service is very good thanks to a very attentive personnel (thanks Kazuhiko and Toshikazu). The hotel proposes dinner options with good local products. We had memorable moments eating tsukemono pickles in a musical ambiance...

Had an amazing stay at Shelter Garden which is about a 10 minute drive from Tobu Nikko station. Close to key attractions in Nikko and hotel has a great nature view. Dinner was amazing (wagyu sirloin a highlight) and rooms spacious and unique. Service top notch and super friendly!
