I went with my family during the Obon holiday in August. The rice was so delicious! As expected of a Japanese-style innOur family was very satisfied (^^) Maybe we are poor in the first place, but the children were also satisfied with the change to adult food. I want to come again (T_T)Well, let's save up for the trip, thank you to everyone at the inn.

Is this a plan full of prawns? I double-checked that the amount of shrimp was small. The shabu-shabu also came with dried shrimp that had already been boiled. It was supposed to be shrimp kaiseki, but the main dish was fish head. The name "Kappo" doesn't match the food.If you want to eat tiger prawns, you'll be much better off if you don't compromise here and take a boat to Himeshima from a nearby port. The landlady was also constantly fidgety and couldn't relax at all.

We came to this area because we wanted to visit Himeshima Island and eat the local shrimp. This Japanese Inn was quaint and quiet (we were the only guests that night!), service was very friendly. There's an elevator to the 2nd floor and the rooms were very spacious. They automatically gave us double futon pads. The room we were in has toilet but no bath/shower. Our friends has the western beds and had a shower/bath in their room. But we all opted to use the shared bath instead and just took turns. The bath was mineral spring water and very hot.Now the meals. The dinner... we got the shrimp meal and had it many different cooking styles so we can have a comparison! The food just kept coming! The lady responsible for us was so nice and welcoming and explained the best way to eat each. We had it grilled (it looked so crispy and shiny), as sashimi, in shabu, tempura, in a chawamushi and then in a braise. The shrimp was fantastic, fresh and delicious. Our friends don't eat raw anything but tried it and ended up eating it all and said the raw shrimp and other sashimi was delicious! The braised pork belly was very soft and tender with a flavorful daikon.Breakfast was equally filling and delicious. The location was quiet on had gorgeous river views of all the blossoming flowers. The property also had a small garden that we could see while eating our meals.Thank you for the wonderful stay and hospitality!
