The boss and staff are very friendly. I like the atmosphere of the hotel very much. The meals and hot springs are also great. I recommend it to everyone staying in Yumoto Onsen.

This is my first visit.Overall it was a very good stay. It's not cheap, so I think I'll have to come back when I have more time, but I like it.I think it's especially good for those who want to take a relaxing soak in a hot spring. However, I don't think it's suitable for people who are looking for "luxury hotel customer service," "ultra luxury," and "ultra cleanliness."I think it's suitable if you enjoy "taste".My impressions are below.【hot spring】・You can add as much as you like at any time. Private rental type that uses analog bills.・Indoor bath on the 1st floor: The shower equipment is old. This is for adjusting the amount of hot water and water.・Although it is simple, there is a self-serve cold tea set in front of the indoor bath area.・2nd floor open-air bath: We recommend lying down. The same goes for showers. You cannot wash your body while sitting, so if you want to wash your body, the indoor bath on the 1st floor is probably the best place to wash your body. Since it's open air, there are lots of fallen leaves and insects. All you can see is the tree directly above you. (The temperature is hot in the open air)[Room] (The facilities may vary depending on the room, so this may not be helpful)・Water facilities are very clean. Beds are also good. Only the windows look old. There is no air conditioning, only a fan, so what about midsummer? (Visit in September)And a lot of cars pass in front of the inn. It's not a road that tourists take, so it's probably cars of people related to the hot spring area or businesses, but the noise is a bit disturbing.[Inside the inn]The floor is tatami. It creaks a little. There are no slippers (*probably), so you can move around in the provided socks. The stairs are a bit steep and there is no elevator. The atmosphere is good. The toilet in the hallway on the first floor is difficult to use. The distance is short, so please be quiet and use the toilet in your room.【meal】Served in the dining room rather than in the room. A screen partition instead of a private room. It's not large, but it's not small either, and there's enough space between you and other customers.Dinner: Delicious. However, meat etc. will be cooked by yourself. Personally, I prefer grilled food because I'm tired from all the activities I do during the day on a trip. Is the quantity normal? The delivery speed may be fast, but I prefer it to slow.Breakfast: It was a nice meal that soothed me after waking up in the morning and taking a bath in the hot springs.Self-service coffee and tea are also available.★As mentioned above in [Room], cars will pass in front of the indoor bath and dining room on the 1st floor, so this is a bit of a concern. If you ask me if it's a May fly, it's not really...★The view from the room is not very good. Other buildings and power lines in the hot spring area are clearly visible.★There is no service from your car to the hotel during your visit.

Although the cost performance was average, the overall satisfaction level was high and it was an inn that I would like to stay at again.・The bath is completely private, so you don't have to worry about being seen.・Since it is in Oku-Nikko, the quality of the spring water is of the highest quality.・The indoor bath is spacious and you can take a relaxing soak.・However, the open air on the second floor only has a simple washing area, which is a bit inconvenient.・The food is delicious. The rice cooked with fresh ginger and the fish stuffed with aromatic vegetables are particularly delicious.・I stayed in a regular room, but it was very average.・The staff has great hospitality.・Credit cards cannot be used unless reservations are made from the official website. This time I stayed in the summer, so next time I would like to visit in a cooler season.

Rumiko-san speaks very good English and her Ryokan is a gem, nestled in the tiny hamlet of Yumoto Onsen.Rumiko-san and her lovely staff could not have been more kind and accommodating; they took infinite care to prepare fully vegan feasts for me, complete with English-translated menus. Our server (who may also have been one of the chefs) was such a warmhearted and joyful soul - and determined to ensure that I should not go hungry; I was given careful lessons in how to prepare a mountain of fresh juicy veggies on my own teppan, presented with delicious agedashi tofu, as well as an amazing baked eggplant with a sublime sauce I couldn’t get enough of and lashings of sticky rice. Not to mention the seemingly endless delicious sides and sublime fresh fruits. Our upstairs air-conditioned room was extremely comfortable - a suite with its own toilet and shower, sitting room and sleeping quarters with futons. We were supplied with all toiletries, towels and several sizes of yukata, the traditional Japanese robes worn by Ryokan guests when moving about the inn.Yuyado Miyakawa has four onsen (hot spring baths) - two indoor ones on the ground floor and two on the upstairs level that are open to the sky but also have cover for when it rains. They are not gender-segregated, so couples can enjoy the onsen together by simply turning the “vacant” sign to “in use” on the door. My partner and I never had to wait to use the onsen despite visiting over the Obon holiday, and I enjoyed a long relaxing soak each day at the end of many hours hiking through the incredible surrounding lakes and meadows and mountains. At the end of our stay we were so intent on catching our bus that my partner accidentally left an item in our room. As we sat on the bus waiting to depart, there was a tapping on the window beside us: Rumiko-san herself had run all the way to the bus stop to return the item to us. This care and kindness perfectly encapsulates our experience at Yuyado Miyakawa. I highly recommend staying here for a wonderful, authentic onsen experience.

A small inn with 5 rooms in total. There are 4 private hot springs available, and if they are vacant, you can use them at any time without making a reservation. No time limit either. My wife and I enjoyed the hot springs relaxingly. We had our meals at a restaurant. The food was also very good. There were only 3 groups staying overnight that day, but 2 of them were foreigners. The person in charge of the hotel can speak English and probably Chinese. It was a very international accommodation.

I stayed here for one night from 2024.3.10. It was fully booked even though it was a winter Sunday night. That's no wonder; not only the hot springs, but also the food and hospitality are wonderful. The hot spring is an ideal hot spring with cloudy sulfur water, and one of the four baths reserved for private use is always open, so you can enjoy a relaxing bath.First time in 5 years? The fifth time? It was my first visit, but I was surprised to see that the quality of the food had improved even more.

The snow on the narrow climbing road in front of the inn is not cleaned at all, so it's very dangerous.
