In the interest of full disclosure, I had booked this hotel because I needed cheaper accommodations and the hotel prices for a sunday night in Tokyo were unreasonable, and Utsunomiya was on the way.That reason notwithstanding, the JR Mets Utsunomiya is a perfectly reasonable hotel that you can access through the shops if they're still open, with more than reasonable rates and fair rooms.

It's adjacent to the station, so there's some noise when the Shinkansen passes by, but the lounge is spacious and overall I'm satisfied.

There was a live concert being held nearby so I used it.I didn't have any information about Utsunomiya, so I didn't know much about it, but I chose Mets Hotel because I had used it several times before.Although it was near the station, the hotel was not noisy. I was satisfied with the breakfast and the number of items.Personally, I think it would have been better if there was curry rice.There is a fairly large lounge on the 5th floor where you can enjoy free drinks (tea, coffee).I plan to use it again when I go on a live tour.

A hotel with a stylish atmosphere for well-traveled business people. It is directly connected from inside the station building during business hours, and outside during off-hours, but it is convenient that the deck becomes a roof so you won't get wet in the rain. Both the hallway and the living room are spacious, so you won't hear much of the train noise, and you won't notice anyone outside the door. The room has a large desk and a good network environment, so I can relax and concentrate, and the Simmons bed has just the right spring for a relaxing rest. The well-maintained spacious stairwell and the disaster evacuation goods placed on the doors of the living rooms suggest reliable safety measures. I'm glad that the amenities are POLA Karahari. It would be best if hidden areas such as under the bed and behind the TV monitor at the desk were thoroughly cleaned.

Stayed for the holidays in a double room! ! !Surprised by the viewAs you can see in the image, there are bird droppings on the roof.No balcony, only window hereI won't make a reservation if you tell me first!I told the woman at the front desk that I would like to exchange my room as there are no rooms with this kind of view at other JR hotels.The reply was that this was a different hotel even though it was a JR hotel.Still, I couldn't accept it, so I asked the man and he easily changed my room. There is no explanation!I silently guided you to the room you exchanged with. Is this okay? It was.

The hotel is directly connected to the station, so you can arrive without getting wet even on rainy days.Check-in was done using a machine that could be connected remotely if necessary. I didn't feel any inconvenience as my questions were answered thoroughly.The room felt big even for a family of three. And it was great to be able to see the Shinkansen from the room.There are various stores and restaurants in the same building, making it convenient for shopping and dining.

Even though I was an hour earlier than the scheduled check-in, when I tried to leave my luggage, I was told that the room was ready, so I was able to check in and take a breather.Even in the non-treatment room, the bed was semi-double and I was able to sleep comfortably.The breakfast rice and miso soup were also delicious.However, the price seemed high due to the rising cost of hotels throughout Japan.

Located inside JR Utsunomiya station building. 5th floor for lounge with free tea/coffee, and 4th floor for gym. Check-in process with machine and online call center. Except for no towel change, everything is nice for me.

Good locationPlease note that if you choose no cleaning, you will not even receive replacement bath towels.Even when I got off the elevator and entered the room, I could smell the gyoza smell, making me feel like I was in Utsunomiya.

There is Smoke smell in the room.and the window can,t be open.Air fresher is useless. It is located near the station though, you can hear train sound in the room.There was a smell of smoke in the room, the windows couldn't be opened, the air purifier didn't work, it was very smelly, and the sound of trains could be heard in the room.

I stayed on the Omakase room plan.The room was very spacious and had a comfortable sofa. There was also free mineral water.The floor was carpeted, but there were a few stains that couldn't be removed, so when I headed to check out, I was asked by the cleaning instructor? The guest's voice was loud, so it would be better to tone it down a little (I think it can be heard in the surrounding rooms)I checked in late at night, but I couldn't go to the 4th floor where the vending machine was because it didn't respond when I pressed the button.If you are a member of the hotel, check-in is at 12:00, so you can relax after having breakfast. I was able to go from the station without getting wet in the rain, so it's nice that I can arrive quickly even if I'm tired from work. There is also a Lawson nearby, which is convenient.

I like the fact that it's directly connected to the station and it's very convenient, so I use it often.When I checked in with my children, they brought me nightwear and amenities, and my children were very happy!Unfortunately, there was only one size available and I was unable to wear it. I thought it would be nice to have different sizes.Since I am sensitive to noise, I requested a room and they happily accommodated me! I stayed for two consecutive nights, so I had a relaxing breakfast, used the lounge, and went to the station platform to watch the Shinkansen trains.

Hotels near stations have the impression of being small, but the hallways were wide, the room was clean, and the ceiling was high.The cleanliness was very good, and I would like to stay there again when I come to Utsunomiya.
