The sauna, the swimming pool and the welcome are good, but unfortunately this place deserves a good refreshment.A strong smell of humidity and traces of mold are present in the rooms.I thought I had booked a charming hotel, but was very disappointed!Be careful, the photos are misleading.

The hot springs flowing directly from the source, the hot spring pool, the sauna, the exquisite food, the amenities, and the level of service were all wonderful!

(Izukyu Shimoda Station Ryokan)I went to the sauna, but did the Finnish sauna I was looking for have a low-style aroma? It smelled so bad that I gave up going in. Another sauna attached? But I gave up because the aroma smell was no good...You can have fun playing in the pool,It's a shame because the food and customer service were good.

I visited you on a weekday Friday. On the way there, I got into a traffic problem and arrived much later.I ended up arriving at 7pm, so I didn't think I would be able to enjoy the Kero sauna (available until 8pm), but the inn was kind enough to let me wait a little while. After enjoying the sauna, they waited for us so that we could have a leisurely dinner. Thanks to this, the aftertaste of my trip, which had been dark, has changed for the better.By the morning of the next day, the pool and public bath were available for private use, so we were able to make up for the time we had missed due to arriving late the previous day. There were relatively few other customers on Friday night, and Saturday morning was also reserved, so if you can make time, I think weekdays may be better for private use, so I recommend it.I was also very satisfied with the various services provided. I would like to come again if I have a chance.

The only reason this place gets 3 star rating is because the pool, Sauna and Steam Room.Food: Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were ok, but the cost performance is not good. The price is too high for the quality provided. Last dinner was served all at the same time in the room and it got cold. Breakfast on the last day was poor quality.Accommodation: typical old run down ryokan charging high prices for a poorly maintained Ryokan. It was not very clean, air-con is the room was old and noisy, lights in the room are awful white lighting, TV and room facilities as cheap and old .Noise: the ryokan management decided it was a great idea to put a family with little kinds on top of our room. All night until midnight and from 5:00am we had to tolerate running and jumping noises on top of our room. We complained several times and the only thing we got was “we are very sorry”.Facilities: the swimming pool is great and the views surrounded by nature are lovely. It feels like an oasis. The steam room is really nice, although not very well maintained. Finish Sauna is also great, but again, not well maintained. However, there are so many noisy kids playing around in the morning and the afternoon that I would not consider this a very good place for people without kids. That said, 11am to 2:00pm is generally quiet and you can have most of the pool for yourself .Customer service: despite charging really high prices for stay and food, the customer service is just ok. Despite not being able to sleep well one of the nights because of the noise and complaining several times, we didn't get any complimentary service or discount , they even charged us for the coffee we drank after checkout (the coffee that is free service while staying).Overall, I would say that this is an old, overpriced and poorly maintained Ryokan. However, the pool, Sauna and Steam room are a big plus. I think that's the only reason they manage to charge high prices.I would recommend staying in one of the cheaper rooms, and just get the breakfast option. Ideally go during weekdays and avoid Japanese holidays to make the most out of it if you want to avoid noisy kids and families. The only reason this hotel got a 3 star rating is the pool, sauna and steam room.Food: Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were OK, but not good value for money. The price is too high for the quality provided. The final dinner was served in the room at the same time and got cold. Breakfast on the last day was of poor quality.Accommodation: This is a typical old, run-down inn that charges high prices for poorly maintained inns. It's not very clean, the air conditioner in the room is old and noisy, the lighting in the room is terrible white lighting, and the TV and equipment in the room are cheap and old.Noise: The inn management decided it was a great idea to put a family with small children in a room above ours. From midnight until midnight and from 5pm onwards we had to endure the sound of people running and jumping above the room. We complained several times, but all we got back was, "We are very sorry."Facilities: The pool is nice and the natural scenery is beautiful. It feels like an oasis. The steam room is very nice but not very well maintained. The finish sauna is also nice, but again not well maintained. It was done.Overall, I think it's an old, overpriced, and poorly maintained inn. But the pool, sauna and steam room are a big plus. I recommend staying in a cheaper room and only ordering breakfast. If you want to avoid noisy children and families, ideally go on weekdays and avoid Japanese holidays.

postscriptI'll be visiting again. After all, it's great for families with small children.A journey where there is no patience for fathers, mothers, or children.Play in the hot spring pool and be healed by the aroma while checking on the children playing in the glass-walled Thermae.Sometimes I sweat in the authentic sauna in the forest (?), one night is not enough, but the price is good (ノД`)...Although my child is a little older, he is tired and complains because he is playing so hard, but I don't worry about it because he is eating in his room. There are many kinds, so don't give up on nutrition and fill your stomach with everything you can eat (*´з`)The children's menu is also delicious, so even if you leave it out, your parents can enjoy it too! However, it is a pity that the pool is divided into two.Personally, the 25m pool reminds me of a high-class European hot spring resort...-----------------------------------------I have used it for three years (times?) during the summer. No matter how warm the country is, Japanese pools are so cold that I can't stay in them for even 30 minutes. However, this hot spring pool is warm and you can play with your children all day long! It's close to surf points, making it the perfect accommodation for our family. However, it seems that the 25 meter pool has been separated, which is a shame. The food is great both in taste and quantity, and I like the sense of distance from the customer service.I stayed in three types of rooms: one with an outside bath, one with an inside bath, and one with an open-air bath. The older rooms may have a bit of a musty smell, so I hope they improve.
