We had a great time at this place. The truth is that it is a bit surreal and a bit like a trip to the past, but the truth is that it has a lot of charm and makes you live a local experience. The room was very good for two. I don't count any more for the surprise! And it also has a hot water Spa that we could enjoy practically alone. You have to walk a little from the train station but on a flat level and only about 10 minutes. We really liked the experience. That's if there is only one 7-eleven in the area where you can go to eat.

I stopped by on my way home from Shimoda. There aren't many places in Rendaiji Onsen where you can take a day trip bath, but I finally found this one. The Taisho modern building and the atmosphere of the elderly proprietress wearing a kimono made me feel as if I had truly stepped into the world of Spirited Away. I still wonder whether it was really the real world from the time I entered to the time I left, or whether I was just dreaming. After registering at the entrance, follow the signs for the inn and walk to the bathhouse. The hallway that connects the main building and the new building seems to have been used as an air raid shelter in the past, and it looks like a tunnel leading to the underworld, which is scary! Most of the baths are reserved for private use. The bath is hot, but spacious and comfortable. As I was leaving, I saw other customers, which made me feel relieved and even more scared.I'm still not sure if I'll be able to get there the next time I go, but it was a nice bath that I can recommend.

I loved this place so much, spent there two nights with my husband, once you get in you feel like you entered someone’s cozy lovely sweet and warm home, the people there are so kind and friendly, I saw an old lady and an old man in the lobby and I guess they are the owners, they were so kind, everything is super traditional and authentic, the place is old and is perfect choice for anyone looking for a unique authentic Japanese experience and the Onsen is very nice

Most of the services pictured are closed and unavailable. The hot springs are so hot that you cannot take a bath. There are no places to eat, so you have to drive to Shimoda Station (more than 15 minutes walk to the nearest Rendaiji Station), which is inconvenient. Most of the facilities available for overnight stays were closed, and I felt it was not commensurate with the price. There were reviews of the food a few years ago, so maybe the service has changed due to the coronavirus pandemic...

If it's just hot water...The quality of the hot spring water is good!!!When the hot water is flowing, it has a smooth spring quality. It's warming up!However, sometimes during the off-season,When there is no hot waterWhen I was about to go to the hot springs, I finallySometimes it would come out loud.I don't recommend using the open-air bath every time for the past few years because there are a lot of bugs and garbage! The indoor bath is great when hot water is flowing! My impression is that I go there about 3 times a year! The quality of the hot spring water is very good!
