From the moment that my partner and I stepped through the doors into the EDITION Ginza, the doorman grabbed our luggage from us and we were escorted to a plush sofa where check-in took place. We were offered a welcome drink, towelettes and our luggages were taken to our room. The wonderful Hiro escorted us to our room, while explaining the layout of the hotel and our room. The hotel assigned us a room on the twelfth floor with a great view of Ginza, and a welcome snack/letter was waiting for us in the room. The room featured new and minimal dark wood, along with the Le Labo Thé Noir scent for bathroom amenities. Sleeping in the king size bed was one of the greatest sleeps I have ever had in my life, and the bathroom towels were some of the softest I have ever used. The bathroom featured a Toto toilet and an amazing rain shower which had just the right amount of water pressure. My partner used their gym on the third floor, and while it is compact, he said that is was some of the best work out machines he has ever used. The staff in general treated you with such care that one would think they were Queen Elizabeth II. Every time we passed by a staff member in the hallway or lobby, everyone greeted us or asked if we needed help with anything.Breakfast at SOPHIE was great, and featured many options. We had the great pleasure of being served my Monica most days who had great attention to detail and was very personable. Another gentleman from Serbia was also great but I don't remember his name. After five days of staying there, we had checked out and were on our way to Kyoto in a bullet train only to realize that I had FORGOT my Apple Headphones and a dress shirt in the room. The concierge Marla thoughtfully sent security to our room and were able to find them for me.Overall, this hotel was our first stay at an Edition Property and has convinced us that it will not be the last. This location in particular is in a great place within Ginza and is very close to the Ginza metro, which connects you to the rest of the city. Please do not hesitate to book here, you will not be disappointed!

Thank you to the staff at The Edition Hotel in Ginza. The best service and accommodations. They make sure you’re taken care of at every moment. From the door men and women to housekeeping and everyone in between. It truly exceeded expectations, the concierge managed to book a Michelin restaurant for my wife and I on the day of which is extremely difficult wherever you are in the world. 10/10 - highly recommend!

The location is in a prime location. At 210,000 yen per night, I went in expecting a luxury hotel, but it took me over 15 minutes to park in the multi-storey parking lot.The front desk is small and similar to a business hotel.Staff response is averageThere is a welcome drink, but it's average. The room is small and the furniture is average.Bathroom and toilet are also normalThere are few amenities.A stiff yukata or a heavy bathrobeEven if I have to put up with the bad view across the street.I have no idea where 210,000 is worth. The smell of perfume can be felt all over the elevator from the hotel lobby.I can understand why there are so many people with similar reviews to me.There seem to be many foreign customers. This hotel does not seem suitable for Japanese people.I stayed with Marriott points and it was a waste of points. Not worth 210,000 a night.I think 50,000 to 60,000 yen is a reasonable price even before holidays.I will never go again.
