I stayed here for one night and it wasnt bad for 2600yen a bed in a girls dormitory. The staff is nice. I have the entire dorm for myself that day. The place is clean and they have a small kitchen where you can cook. Its away from restaurants but I dropped by a family mart and grabbed something to eat before checking in on a cold evening. Towels can be rented for 100yen. It was a pleasant stay.

I have to say that the staff here are a notch above! Especially Naomai. In my ignorance I have little to no grasp of Japanese and made a spontaneous plan to cycle across Shimanami Kaido. I came very underprepared and with little knowledge on what I would need to do. She patiently helped me through when to rent a bike, how to send my luggage forward so I didn’t have to carry it, and even helped to book my next accommodation halfway across the islands as they only accepted phone bookings. On top of this the hostel is lovely, and at a great price. Clean and modern, the beds are much more comfortable than the past few places I have stayed. If you are planning on doing a similar trip would highly recommend this as a stoping point before you start/after you finish.

Shimanami Kaido Imabari, north of Itoyama is Namikata Port. This is a rare spot that is not well known because it is located off the normal cycling route. It is located along the coast, right in front of the port, making it the perfect location for a cafe. This facility is run by Cyclotourism, which runs a variety of cycling tours, and I feel that it's a great place for connoisseurs, not only as a stop for cycling, but also as a resting place while sightseeing on the Shimanami Kaido. If you have a chance, please stop by.

The room is spacious and you can store your bicycle indoors, so you don't have to worry about it. To store your bicycle, you must carry it up the stairs to the conference room on the 2nd floor. There are almost no convenience stores, supermarkets, or restaurants within walking distance (there is a sushi restaurant, but it's only open for lunch), so I saw people riding their bicycles to a place about 10 minutes away to buy something and then eating it at the hotel. Ta.There is a local bus service nearby, but the evening service ends early on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. This is inconvenient for people like me who want to enjoy a meal at a local izakaya in the evening.

I stopped by the cafe while cycling. Does the exterior look like a port facility? But the cafe inside is stylish and nice. Is the BGM Mão Fina? I was able to relax on a comfortable sofa facing the sea ♬Even the tea is served in a pot, with a cover to keep it from getting cold! The local strawberry smoothie and the local peach and gorgonzola dessert pizza were both very delicious and I definitely want to go back to eat them again.

The location was great, with sunrise and sunset spots, delicious food restaurants, and a quiet port town where you can see big ships! I want to go again.
