The landlady here is a very kind and nice person. We can have fun talking. There is no meal, but all the guests gather together and eat while talking about what they each bought. Also, those walking the pilgrimage can have their luggage sent to their next hotel for 500 yen.

The story of shikoku is also about the generous local population that makes it possible, by providing shelters in the mountains if needed and by setting up their homes as pilgrims accomodation as our lovely host tonight, who went out of her way to help us with our bookings and to get to a local restaurant of her recommendation. She became our mum for the night!

Room without meals ¥4,500 This is a great inn that is open all year round, even during the year-end and New Year holidays. Louis, the indoor cat, will welcome you. The 79-year-old proprietress seems to have welcomed many different pilgrims, and it's fun to talk about them. He also does the laundry for me.

I walked 45K to get here from Tokushima, but I can't stop at Route 25 on the way, which is not a place where my legs hurt, so I'll do my best on Route 26, which I'm leaving tomorrow.

Facilities and food are average. The landlady can't stop talking. It was difficult because I was the only customer. However, there are many pilgrims who use this inn because they like to talk with these people. It's perfect for gathering information about the pilgrimage.
