I visited Dogo Onsen Tokiwaso for the first time in seven years, and I was amazed at how much it had changed. After the coronavirus pandemic, the room size has doubled, and the price has remained the same. This is a really nice surprise. We were able to spend a relaxing time in the spacious and comfortable room.The rice was always excellent, and the dishes were all made with plenty of fresh local ingredients. The staff are kind and warm, and will provide you with hospitality that will make you feel comfortable. This is the reason why I always choose to stay at Tokiwaso when I come to Dogo Onsen.This time, I was a little disappointed that Botchan-no-Yu was being renovated and I was only able to enter in a hurry, but the hot springs that this hot spring inn is proud of were also wonderful. The hot water was smooth and warmed you from the core, perfect for relaxing.Tokiwaso is a charming hot spring inn that combines a historic appearance with modern comfort. Every time I visit Dogo Onsen, I make new memories by staying here. Next time I visit, I would like to stay longer and enjoy the wonderful hot springs and hospitality.

It was 25,450 yen for 1 night and 2 meals. The building was renovated from the Taisho era and the inside was kept very clean. When I entered the room, I was a little worried about the noise outside, but I was able to relax in peace and quiet. The dishes made with seafood from the Seto Inland Sea were very delicious and satisfying, and I was full after eating them♪ The hot springs use centrally managed blended springs (simple springs), and are similar to the Dogo Onsen main building. The same hot water was running continuously. There is no elevator in the building, so I cannot recommend it for people who cannot use the stairs or who can't stand not having a TV in their room, but I think it is a nice and calm inn.

Thank you for staying with us for one night on March 5th. Although the exterior looks the same as before, the inside of the inn has been renovated and is comfortable. The stairs are still steep.As you would expect from a small ryokan, the hospitality and consideration were good, and I enjoyed chatting with you in a friendly manner. The bath is locked when you use it, so you can relax and enjoy it privately. Thanks to you, I had a good night's sleep. It was really good. I'll visit you again.

Around late November 1998, I stayed at this place as my final stop in Shikoku while touring on a motorcycle in western Japan. It was a trip when I was 24 years old and had no money. When I arrived at Dogo Onsen, it was dark outside and I was wondering what to do, but a woman (landlady?) from the inn approached me in front of the Dogo Onsen Honkan, and she conscientiously agreed to let me stay there. I received it. I still remember how delicious the yellowtail sashimi that came out for dinner was very delicious. The hot spring water from Dogo Onsen was drawn into the hotel, which helped relieve fatigue. Cherry wood was used for the wood for the stairs, and I was told that the more thatched the roof, the more glossy it becomes.It left a deep impression on me. Before leaving the next morning, we were given rice balls to make. Thank you very much for that section. After that, we took a ferry from Matsuyama to Kure, then headed from Hiroshima to Okayama. I had a wonderful trip that will remain in my memories for the rest of my life.

Very close to Dogo Onsen. It was an inn that felt like a ryokan. The drawstring bag that came with the amenities was so cute that I still love it.I went to Dogo Onsen wearing a yukata and felt relaxed.
