After a day on the Henro trail, so great to find such a level of hospitality. Please note that meals are not available any more: nonetheless I will always remember the Ainan Gold fruit so nicely given to us by the owner. Thank you!

Cheap and comfortable. If you are 1.50 m high. Fittings and details of the 1950s. A very long walk to the toilet. And you have to phone if you use the shower. And bang your head everywhere. The worst I ever had. No no- smoking policy and they smoke before your room at 3 am with nicotine drifting through the futon room without a key.

Very kind owner. However, people smoke inside or in rooms here. The smoker in the room next to ours filled the hallway and our room with smoke. Restrooms are down steep stairs and a bit of a distance from upstairs rooms. They do have a lovely massage chair for 100 yen that was a pleasant amenity.

This was such a wonderful family business. The owners run this place with lots of love and care and you can really feel it. You have your own bathroom and tub, which is fantastic. The food is amazing and I'd definitely come back, just for the food. The Minshuku is run by a very nice family and they were very attentive.

Judging by the reviews from a few years ago, I wonder if the owner was a nice person until a few years ago. I think so, but it wasn't good right now... Is it someone else? It wasn't as good as I felt. The problem is customer service. Personal information filled out at the time of check-in is left on the desk for anyone to see.I'm also told to finish taking a bath by 9:30pm (which is way too early, right?), so I wonder what's going on...?I couldn't hear the voices and footsteps of other guests, so it was a really disappointing night...5,000 yen per person per night is cheap, but the service and customer service made me feel that even 5,000 yen was expensive. There are various plans posted on the website, but currently only overnight stays are available.
