A true oasis of tranquility and beauty! Our stay here was the highlight of our trip to Japan! The owners and staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and more! The breakfasts and dinners were spectacular and consisted of endless courses that were prepared with such care and fresh local ingredients. The rooms and shared spaces (dining room and bath house) were so beautifully decorated with simplicity and elegance! The hotel/inn has its own private pier and beach within walking distance, and the area is very peaceful and quiet. For those who love to get off the beaten path, we highly recommend staying here - it is well worth the time taken to travel here ☺️

This is an accommodation facility located in Omishima that is a renovated school.I stayed here while cycling across the Shimanami Kaido.The food is delicious and the cost performance is also good.It felt like I was on a school trip, and I felt nostalgic.I would like to stay here again when visiting Shimanami Kaido.

I used it for cycling on the Shimanami Kaido. Stayed at 1 of 1.The washing machine is 200 yen (with detergent) and the dryer is 200 yen (if available).However, the dryer takes a long time and does not dry easily, so I think it is better to hang it up to dry, as you can also use hangers.It was a rainy day the week after Golden Week, but there was a kerosene fan heater in the room and I was able to use it, so I was able to stay warm and dry, which was great!However, the room is made of uncoated solid wood, so if you put something wet on it, it will stain, so I had to be careful about that.The atmosphere of the room is very nice (only the windows were the same as when they were in classrooms), so please check other people's photos.The Western-style room has a bath, so it was nice to be able to take a shower right away.There is also a refrigerator.The observation bath is available from 4pm.There is a vending machine on the premises, but I didn't think they sold snacks, etc., so since there are no convenience stores nearby, I think it would be best to buy some at a roadside station before heading out.Riding a bicycle to the hotel is 15 km from Tatara Ohashi Bridge (Onomichi side) and 12 km from Omishima Bridge (Imabari side), and there are quite a few ups and downs, so it's tiring.You'll have to climb back up the hill from the beginning of the morning...but it's a nice inn, so if you're using a bicycle, please make your reservations with care.Around Golden Week, the Shimanami Kaido from Onomichi was a wonderful time with the sweet scent of wild roses and tangerine flowers.I knew from word of mouth that there was a lot of food, but most of it was filled with fish.2 bowls of sea bream riceThere are sashimi, boiled fish, grilled fish, fried stonefish (the meat was hard to eat as the bones were still hard), small pot (duck meat), and 3 appetizers and chawan mushi, so it is suitable for ordinary women. I don't think I can eat it all.We recommend that you go on an empty stomach while cycling. (The large Japanese-style room has fewer items. I took a photo of the menu, so please check it out.)Breakfast included small horse mackerel openings.The food was very delicious.Since we are renovating an elementary school and there is a lot of nature, there is a spray that freezes bugs as soon as you enter the room.I used it when I found a centipede about 10cm long during my stay.Swallows are building nests, so they are active early in the morning. If you are concerned, I think it would be better to change the timing. It makes a lot of noise.
