A while back, I was inspired to visit this place on a trip with my daughter.Perhaps my age was being looked at, but I didn't think the customer service was great considering the price. There wasn't much consideration given to the fact that I was traveling with children, and people like the landlady sometimes spoke in tame terms instead of using honorific language.I'm sure elderly people would be treated with great care.I was very disappointed as I had high expectations. There was a stink bug in the room, but there was nothing special about it, so I removed it and that was it.Both the words and the response were somewhat sad.

He explained that expensive tatami mats are usually exchanged once every five years, but here they are exchanged once a year. The condition of the tatami is very clean and as someone who likes the scent of tatami, I am very satisfied!Thank you for the staff's kind explanation and the explanation of Yamatoya Besso's premises. The open-air bath in the large public bath was a flowing hot spring (かけ流し), so the water was clean, and I used it both times as a private bath.I had a good night’s sleep and had a good rest (*^^*)

As a long-established store that has been in business for over 150 years, museum-quality scrolls and letters from great writers are displayed throughout the building. There is a room with a tea ceremony room, and all the utensils for the tea ceremony are provided. Although there is an additional charge, if you request in advance, you can also perform the ritual ceremony. The hospitality of the staff, including the landlady, was amazing, and I had a comfortable stay. What I felt through breakfast and dinner was that the rice was very delicious. The rice balls for dinner were also very delicious. thank you very much.

I stayed under the Onsen Musume accommodation plan. The inn has a very luxurious feel and is also quaint. The hot springs, service, etc. are good, and the location is good, so I was able to leave my luggage and enjoy various things at Dogo Onsen. Overall, I felt that it was a very good inn.

This will be my third time staying here.We stayed as a family of 6 including 4 children. There were no ready-made items for both dinner and breakfast, so everything was handmade, and I was impressed by how delicious everything was, from the appetizer for dinner to the sweets at the end.The grilled salmon for breakfast had no bones and had just the right amount of salt, so the rice went well, and the kelp tsukudani, which I heard was made by hand at the hotel, was also very delicious.Perhaps because of the limited number of guest rooms, I was able to soak in the hot spring privately without meeting other guests in the public bath, which was very relaxing. The whole family enjoyed the all-you-can-drink beer and all-you-can-eat ice cream service after the bath. When I stayed at Yamatoya Villa, I was able to use the Yamato food stalls at the Yamatoya main store, and was also able to enjoy the Japanese sake bar and candy bar, which I was grateful for.We plan to visit again in a few months, so please visit us again then.

Wonderful stay choice in Dogo Onsen area. Traditional setting, beautiful and serene decor I am sure you will enjoy. The dinner and breakfast options are must, I enjoyed every little detail and attention the chef prepares.Hope you will enjoy the stay as much as I did-We were welcomed from the moment we arrived and were taken care of in every way, making our stay a very pleasant one. Mr. T when we arrived, Mr. A who was cheerful, and Mr. S at dinner, everyone was so nice to us that I remember them by name. The landlady brought me water on a hot day, and I am truly grateful for her kind consideration. The hot water and food were great and it was a relaxing trip. thank you very much.

I went there before on a birthday trip!I had originally wanted to stay at this inn and was able to make a reservation because of its good reputation, and everything was wonderful. Enjoy the customer service, the hot springs, the rooms, the meals, and the beer and ice cream service after your bath.I don't know if it's the right word to say that I felt very superior, but I had a really wonderful time. When I travel to Ehime again, I definitely want to stay at this inn!

Cooking hot spring ♨️ Very good. A few decades ago, I went on a family trip. Of course, Yamatoya Villa has a hot spring♨️, but you can also visit the hot springs♨️. We recommend Botchan no Yu, which has Natsume Soseki written on it. The bathtub where His Majesty the Emperor used to bathe is also open to the public. At that time, there was a tanka competition, and my family and I were excited to submit our entries, but it seems like we ended up reading all the waka poems! Yamatoya Bessou is located in a famous 🇯🇵 inn in Japan.
