It was adults only, so I was looking forward to it.The room was very clean, but...I didn't feel welcomed. The sink was in the bathroom, so it was smelly and difficult to use, there was no Wi-Fi connection, and there were almost no windows, so it felt like a blockage. As for food...I like having it at the counter, but it feels oppressive...not as much as I expected.However...the bath was fed by the hot spring water, and the smell of hot water and sulfur was faint, but it was nice to be soaked up to my shoulders in the large bathtub.

I got really cold after walking around the Yubatake field in the rain, but as soon as I arrived at Iwafuji-san, I was taken to a warm room and took a bath in the open-air bath. This is a beautiful room with a spacious open-air bath. The food is amazing, and the conversation with the owner and the kind proprietress while I'm eating the food are soothing. The second-generation owner who fried the tempura was also a refreshing young man. After breakfast, I made coffee ☕, and I drank it slowly in a separate room, and they also gave me some chocolate as a service. We had a really wonderful time. It was the best inn that I would like to come back to again.

I've stayed at many inns, but this is the first time I've stayed in such a bad hotel.First of all, there is no air conditioning at the front desk, so it's extremely cold. The person at the reception desk just stands there and doesn't take your luggage with you when you go to your room.I was surprised that there was no word for hospitality. The air conditioner in the dining room wasn't working either, so it was so cold that I thought I was in a refrigerator. There was a throw blanket, but it was no use using it, my feet were getting cold, I had goosebumps, my nose was running, and it was so cold that it was horrible. The cooking begins with everyone together. There is an elderly chef at the front. Instructions on how to eat everything from sashimi to all dishes. Moreover, that explanation was a forced instruction on how to eat it. My precious meal was ruined.Grill the main meat yourself. Also, if you turn the meat only once, it's no good. Should I eat the inside raw instead of rare? teeth? It's hard to understand. The way the tempura was fried was so bad that I thought he was an amateur. The batter was thick and the onions were raw. Crunchy, hard, spicy, and fried raw.All other fried foods had thick coatings and were tasteless.I never want to go to an inn like this again, even if it's free.It was the worst and I felt sick.

An inn with delicious food. You can relax in your room with an open-air bath. The water was hot, so I diluted it before entering.

I visited this inn nearly 10 years ago before the name changed, and I thought, ``I won't be there again.''The food was certainly delicious, but I was really tired of having to deal with the chef's pace.Even though the name has changed, it seems that the service and price are not commensurate with each other. It's a mystery that there are so many high ratings on certain travel sites. There are many more reasonable and good accommodations in Kusatsu.

The hot spring in the room was great!Although the room was old, I was very happy to take a bath in the room as many times as I wanted.Meals are served in an open kitchen, and you can have dishes cooked in unusual ways.To be honest, I didn't really understand the quality of the meat and the tempura because it was so different. Also, I was disappointed that the woman who was serving the meal was making a lot of noise with the dishes.Even apart from that, I think it was a good accommodation overall, considering that I was able to enjoy Kusatsu's natural hot spring water to my heart's content, which was my main goal.
