I don't usually write reviews, and I don't really care about this, but it's so bad that I'm going to share it. I will only review the facts.I was looking forward to my trip to Hokkaido and my first visit to Hoshino Resorts, but it turned out to be a mistake. The rooms that other people have given highly rated reviews are the newly built rooms in the annex. This time I was fascinated by historical buildings, so I stayed in a room inside the renovated former Otaru Chamber of Commerce and Industry.I stayed in a superior king room, but because it was a king bed, the room was extremely small and I couldn't open my carry case. There are no amenities in the room unless you go to get toiletries and water yourself.I took my car out of the partner P next door to eat dinner, went out for about an hour and a half, and when I returned to the hotel, I was bothered to find that both the P in front of the hotel and the partner P next door were full. When I checked with the front desk, I was told that I could park at the Otaru Kanko Parking Lot, which was about a 6-7 minute walk away and had free parking. When I was asked at check-in if I would like to use partner P, I accepted that there would be a charge of 1,000 yen per night and parked my car.I mentioned that I paid 1,000 yen, but I didn't receive a refund (I paid it when I checked out), so if you want to park nearby, you can park at the nearest P at your own expense, or the best option is to pay no more. It is recommended to park at the Otaru Kanko Parking Lot, which is free, in order to avoid additional charges.I wanted to park in front of the hotel for one night, so I paid 1,000 yen. If this happens, you should either park in a far away place where it is free from the beginning because something like this will happen first, or you can pay 1,000 yen and be able to park when the car is empty, although there is no guarantee that the car will be empty and we will not refund your money. I wanted some guidance on what to do. It was really very unpleasant because they didn't do their best to help me.As a result of the above incident, I was exhausted and went to the bathroom to take a soak in the bathtub, and when I took a quick shower to flush the tub, the water didn't drain at all. It's so clogged that water won't drain. This is terrible. Moreover, the bathroom was really full of black mold, and the shower head was also moldy. How could they provide a room so unsanitary?Since the building is a renovated historical building, I ignored the dustiness, but I was surprised at how unsanitary it was. That will surprise you.I have stayed in many hotels ranging from cheap to luxury hotels, but this was my first time in a hotel that was so unsanitary and harsh.I will never stay at Hoshino Resorts again.I found this place advertised by a traveling couple on Instagram and stayed there because I was impressed, but I'll never trust the PR again. I learned a lot.

I used it for sightseeing by car. It was close to Otaru Station and had good access to the main street. However, the directions to the parking lot were different from those provided at check-in, and after that I kept changing again and again, which caused me a lot of trouble. I had no choice but to use another parking lot that I had secured in advance as a backup. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful, and the night bar had a nice atmosphere and the drinks were delicious. There is a coin laundry, but there are only two vertical washing machines and two dryers, and it was very stressful because they didn't take care of customers who didn't come to pick up their laundry. There was a coin laundry a little further away that was very clean and nice, so I recommend using that.

It was a very clean and luxurious hotel. The location was perfect, between the station and the canal. It was nice that the shower room and toilet were separate. The staff were smiling, kind and polite. The breakfast buffet was so delicious that I thought it would be a good idea to come back to eat it again.

It's close to the canal, the rooms are clean, especiallyThe shower room had a luxurious feel. The breakfast buffet was also very satisfying, both in appearance and taste.I would like to use it again. However, the man at the reception didn't smile much,A small woman who speaks in a businesslike manner. There were various types. Also, instead of going through the door twice from the elevator hall, you can go to the breakfast hall first.I wanted you to tell me.

2024/09 visitIt's difficult to rate this hotel since it's in a fairly good location, but considering the quality of the rooms, it seemed a little expensive. In these days of high prices, is there nothing we can do?

We stayed in premium deluxe room. A very unique hotel renovated from a history bank building. Enjoyed the interesting hotel experience merging of modern use of amenities and management in an old setting. There are two towers. …

The room looked clean at first glance, but the wallpaper was peeling in places. It was a shower only type room. There wasn't enough space to hang a towel after a shower, and although there was a sofa, there wasn't a seat wide enough to relax, so the focus was on appearance and the functionality was disappointing.I think it would be nice to have a system where you can get your amenities from the side of the front desk, but I would like to have a system where you have to carry a bottle of water to get it...at least, I would like to have the bottle full when entering the room. The customer service from the employees was good.

This hotel is located as you walk from Otaru Station towards the canal. The historic architecture and warm hospitality of the staff are impressive. A comfortable and cozy room. The toilet and shower room are separated and neat. Pajamas can be rented for a fee, and free drinks in the afternoon and music box performances in the evening are fantastic. A beautiful hotel that is great for taking pictures.

When I come to Hokkaido, I always stop by Otaru. This time, I wanted to use Hoshino Resorts Otaru as my base and sightsee nearby, so I stayed for two nights. There is no dinner that there used to be, but there is a night lounge instead. There was a music box playing and the light from the lamps created a very calming atmosphere. Breakfast is always varied and delicious!
