To finish off my annual vacation, I went on a solo trip to Kusatsu Onsen.Although the food was low priced, it was of a satisfying level. The host is a sommelier, so they have a variety of wines, but since I was alone, I ordered a half bottle. The price was also good and reasonable.Although it is a pension, there is a bath with natural hot spring water, and the quality of the spring water is as expected from Kusatsu! The location is relatively good, 10 minutes to Yubatake and 5 minutes to Jizo-no-Yu, a town hot spring.I would also like to use it if I have the opportunity.

All the dishes I expected lacked flavor. The pairing with the wine was also not as good as I expected. The main meat for dinner was thin and tough and the red wine didn't go well with it.For breakfast, the only side dishes were fried eggs and garnishes, and there wasn't even ketchup for the fried eggs or the white rice.I wanted at least some grilled fish. The room was a pension, so the walls were thin and I could hear conversations in the next room. The floor was so thin that the kids next door were jumping up and down, making it extremely uncomfortable.I was satisfied that the bath was almost reserved. The couple who owns the store are doing well, but they should consider instructing customers, especially those with children, not to make noise in the rooms, or banning children under elementary school age.It seemed like all the customers were Japanese, so it was a nice feeling.I was also very uncomfortable with the fact that the toilet did not have a flush toilet seat. The parking lot is not deep and slopes up towards the building in the back, and the curb in the front blocks the way, making it very difficult to park in the right spot.

I used it with my family on Christmas Eve.We all had dinner together in a room with a fireplace. I was impressed by the moody room and table setting, as well as the heartfelt hospitality and food! !The inn has a hot spring bath that is open 24 hours a day.The bath was also very comfortable. The course also included two hot spring tickets, so I was able to enjoy Kusatsu to the fullest even though it was only one night and two days. This is a recommended inn.

This is a small pension with 6 guest rooms run by just a husband and wife. The marriage of wine and food that is matched by the owner, who is a certified sommelier, is the best. However, that doesn't mean I should force myself to recommend it to people who don't like wine. This is a wonderful pension full of hospitality. However, there are restrictions such as check-in and dinner times. (Of course, it is clearly written on the internet.) It is not suitable for people who do not understand the purpose of eating and bathroom etiquette, saying, ``I don't want to be told anything because I am a customer, I want to be free.'' I don't think it will work, so I think it would be better for those people to choose another place. It will be a nuisance to the owner and his wife as well as other kind-hearted guests.

It's totally worth the money. We can speak some English, but the communication is in Japanese, but it doesn't affect our love for it. Excellent food, service, hot springs and wine... I'm so happy I booked this place!Breakfast can be Japanese or Western style.I hope to bring my friends with me next time~
