It's cheap (lol)It's cheap, so it's recommended for people who can adapt to the snoring, dust, and musty smells of the neighbors, so it's recommended for just sleeping (lol)

Worst experience in Japan…There is no staff on site, check-in is done on a tablet and if you have a question, you can keep it to yourself, there will be no one to answer you. A phone number is supposed to be available until 9pm… no answer starting 6pm.As soon as we entered the room, we were struck by a strong musty, damp and moldy smell. The futons and tatami mats are old, uncomfortable and also impregnated with this unpleasant smell. There are no bathrooms with showers. Not to mention that our room was next to the toilets and with a bad phonic isolation…All of this for an unreasonable price of $110 (16k yens) per room for one night… scandalous!

Mine was a last minute booking so I paid 6k for one night. I think it is expensive.Facilities: No air conditioning in room. While it was not a problem in Sept 2024 as the weather was pleasant but the rooms get stuffy as there is no ventilation. There is no bathroom either in the Ryokan. The places and the bathroom are very clean however. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbor and it is noisy untill 10 pm.It is about 10 min walk from Yubakata but it may be inconvenient with large luggage. No one is available at the facility. It is self check-in and check-out.

It's a bit of a walk from the center of Kusatsu, but the rooms and toilets are clean and well-maintained.There was a convenience store nearby so I had a comfortable stay. The problem is that the soundproofing is poor and the check-in method is a little difficult to understand, so if you can't tolerate that, it's better to avoid it.

I had a comfortable stay for 3 nights and 4 days.I think the quality of unmanned check-in and simple accommodation is high.Recommended for those who are traveling alone and want to stay cheaply.I would like to use it again.

I came here on a solo tour, but all the rooms are auto-locked, and I receive an email in advance via SMS to unlock the room. The bikes are large and can accommodate about 4 bikes. The rooms are large and clean. The toilets are also shared, but they are kept clean. However, I should note that the CO/SPA is very good, and it is a very cheap accommodation for a weekday 4,900 yen (as of August 2024) for an inn that averages around 20,000 yen. There are no hot springs or baths, and only the bare essentials such as towels, bath towels, futons, etc. are provided. Since it is Kusatsu Onsen, you can walk to the Yubatake in about 12 minutes without having to do anything special, and there is "Shirahata no Yu", which is representative of Kusatsu Onsen, and there are many restaurants. I think it would be nice if you could use your accommodation budget for bathing, food and drinks, but I can't recommend it to people who want a spacious Kusatsu Onsen.

You can get a private room for a little more than a room for six people, so what's there to complain about?
