Very nice hotel, fantastic location very near the main town square and bus station only 15 min walk. The staff are friendly, even though their basic English was good enough for putting the message across, google translate helped! The room, I had tatami traditional small, very nice, was small, but tidy. The sheets, towels, yukata, very clean. The room is a bit old, but clean. I didn't had an ensuite bath, only toilet. The housekeeping staff replaced towels daily, and turned the room for sleeping, nice surprise! My rating is 3 starts as I wanted to use the onsen from the hotel, but unfortunately no tattoos allowed. Very disappointing I couldn't use the onsen of the accommodation I am staying at!Kusatsu town does allow tattoos on their public onsen, so this took me by surprise. There's a very near free onsen spot from the hotel, so I've used that place instead. The hotel has coin operated laundry, which was great. And they do offer meals on their restaurants, but I've opted to eat outside to discover the town. They offer luggage delivery service too.I wish they allow their guest's with tattoos on their onsen.

The entrance hall looks niceCustomer service is not good.No hospitality after arrival.Customer service is not good due to lack of staff.Frankly speaking, I cannot recommend it.The rice is very hard. The sukiyaki meat is delicious, but the rest is not so good. The sashimi is crispy.I feel that the breakfast buffet is normal.Toilets were broken in some places. The room was reinforced with curing tape.Only the entrance is luxurious, and the rest appears to be in disrepair as they seem to have cut back on repair costs. The toilet in the bathroom was also broken. It's not commensurate with the price.

There was dust collecting on the shoji screens in the guest room. I don't think it's a problem of lack of manpower. I gave it 3 stars because the price is reasonable. Baths and meals are also adequate.

Dinner was terrible.Conger eel sushi tasted like freezer burn.As for something like Sanzokuyaki, as soon as I lit it on fire, a foreigner took the lid off and took it away.I tried somehow to put some vegetables on it and see if it would cook, but it didn't work, so I got the lid again and started the fire again. . No apology. There's a space in the middle where you can serve your own food, but if you run out of ingredients or water, no one will replenish it.I think it's difficult because of the lack of manpower, but I'm also getting frustrated because I've spent a lot of money coming here to relax.Unless someone in Japan looks over the whole thing and gives instructions and guidance, I definitely won't want to come back and I won't recommend it to anyone.

It was good, I was happy with the response from the front desk. You can pick up and drop off the parking lot at any time.
