Up until around 2005, staying at inns had a good reputation, but after 2010, there were a lot of complaints about the food, baths, etc.I haven't seen any reviews for accommodation since the coronavirus pandemic started.

I visited on the day of the ox, and even though the restaurant was open, I was told that I was too tired to cook.

I felt a strange connection. While I was on a business trip in Aichi Prefecture, I turned on the TV and happened to see a special feature on Kashiwaya Ryokan's eel dishes and lodging on a program called ``If You Approach the Techniques''.This was about ten years ago. While driving on the Nagano Expressway, my wife suddenly started having labor pains, so I hurriedly got off at the Fujioka Interchange. I was hospitalized at Fujioka Hospital. The contractions subsided during the night, but my eldest son, who is 2 years old, and I were unable to stay overnight at the hospital, so we left the hospital. My eldest son, who was sleeping separately from his wife for the first time, seemed quite tired, so I thought it would be a bad idea to sleep in the car, so I started looking for a place to stay.At that time, I was really scared because it was late at night, but when I happened to knock on the gate and explain the situation, the inn graciously accommodated me.It was Kashiwaya Ryokan. To my wife who was discharged from the hospital the next day.``Kashiwaya Ryokan seems to be famous for eel, so let's have some.''I invited him. My wife, who wanted to express her gratitude to the landlady for taking care of our child, readily agreed. In fact, I had asked for a reservation in advance. I'm a big fan of eel, and when I was a student, I worked at an eel restaurant every weekend. I was really curious about the eel at Kashiwaya Ryokan, and I was also concerned about my wife's condition, but I thought that perhaps eating eel would help me feel better, so I made arrangements. When I visit Kashiwaya Ryokan again,The landlady took care of my wife's health and went out of her way to prepare a large separate room.I'm really grateful. At that time, the eel rice that I thoroughly enjoyed was really surprisingly delicious. The eel that day was the most delicious I've ever had! and,I happened to be talking to my wife. The daughter who was in my womb that day had also grown quite a bit. I would like to visit you again with my family someday.Thank you very much for your help that day.Thank you very much Kashiwaya Ryokan.

Today was the day of the ox, so I ordered and ate a bento boxed eel. It's very fragrant and completely different from the unagiju at the supermarket, and it's a little expensive, but it's delicious.
