It’s beautiful place nestled between the mountain. It’s old house with basic facilities but the stay experience is made perfect with the staff and location. The breakfast was really delicious.
They have a free car parking too.

We stayed a week at the Tanigawa Lodge and we really enjoyed it. It was our first stop in Japan and we were delighted to discover the landscape and the calmness of Minakami. Craig (so kind and helpful) took us up at the train station and lifted us everywhere we wanted. He also booked for us a canyoning activity (we recommend it). The place was really clean and peaceful, the staff really nice too.

If you're a coffee lover, nature lover, or just straight up a nice human being lover, please god stay here haha. This was the best experience we had our entire 2 weeks in Japan. Craig is the nicest, most-friendly human being to ever walk the earth. The lodge and its staff are wonderful. The coffee was amazing. We took the trail up Mt. Tanigawa that starts right next to the lodge and it took us 2hrs and 38min to get to the chair lift that will take you back down (bring yen for this). The Italian restaurant right next door is super delicious too. If you want a wonderful experience in Japan, this is the place to go!

We slept one night in this traditional inn. The coffee is delicious, the breakfast too. The staff and the owner are extremely friendly and gave us lots of advice and things to do in the area. We would have stayed there with great pleasure! The downstairs room is very pleasant, even in rainy weather, the place is cozy and warm. Really nothing to say this shortOur stay did us a lot of good! See you soon I hope!

I stayed there for one night after climbing Mt. Tanigawa on the first train from Tokyo.You can relax in a quiet location and there is a hot spring nearby, so it is recommended for returning from a mountain hike. It's a great place with spacious rooms and delicious coffee brewed by the owner!

I used the cafe. Both coffee and cake are excellent. It was on a different level. If you are going to Minakami Onsen or Tanigawa Onsen, please come here. The parking lot was also spacious.

very tasty flat white and great location in the mountains. We spent great time with coffee and sweets in the nature. I and my wife love this cafe. We will visit again soon!
