Even though the source is supposed to be the same as the nearby public hot spring, Shirahata no Yu, why does the quality of the water here seem to be better? ? It was the best hot water. You can use the private bath (indoor bath) as many times as you like as long as it is open. I wasn't interested in the indoor bath so I didn't use it. You can only see a little of the Yubatake from the open-air bath. You can't see it from your room. There is also one washing area in the open-air bath.

I go to Kusatsu Onsen almost twice a month, except in the middle of winter (when it snows, I can't go there by car). When you have enough money, go to Tsutsuji-teiI usually stay at [Kindai] and [Miyuki] which have completely private baths and a large number of baths, so the week before last I stayed at [Matsunoi Ryokan], before that I stayed at [Kane Midori], and before that I stayed at [Bokusui]. I'm developing a new business. This time I went to [Nushiyu Ryokan].My wife had previously excluded this hotel from the list due to reviews saying that the room smelled like cigarettes (it's a great inn for smokers who can smoke in their rooms these days)...I decided to visit for the first time because I wanted to take an open-air bath using the Shirahata source. There was no elevator so it was quite difficult to move around on the stairs, but the room didn't smell like cigarettes at all and the open-air bath was great! Is it your master?Grandpa is very kindYoung master?Young men also have a good feeling♪open-air bathIndoor bathThere is a private family bath, so you can relax and take your time without getting crowded. It would be even better if this could be improved! There are two things I thought about. It was better than I expected, so I would like to write about it because I want it to be a better inn.・Fan dust・Spider web on the ceilingIt was really good!Great location, price, customer service, and baths♪I would like to visit this place many times in the future, so please improve it.

An unpretentious, old-fashioned inn. This is exactly what I want! Unfortunately, it is not barrier-free. Hot water is the best. The rice is also delicious.

It's been a long time since I last visited Kusatsu, and I stayed there for my wife's birthday. The inn was old (retro), but the staff were kind and I was able to spend a relaxing time there. The room had a panoramic view of the Yubatake field, and it was beautifully lit up. The hot springs were great, and since it was a weekday, we had both an indoor bath and an open-air bath for private use. The food was also delicious. Unfortunately, the grilled fish was cold and hard. Even if you arrive early, you can leave your car there, so you can enjoy exploring Kusatsu. However, the parking lot is difficult to find, so be careful if you are inexperienced with driving.

First of all, I would like to note that the Wi-Fi is working properly. An absolute must stay for Japanese people who can enjoy the best location and the best Shirahata hot springs at the best cost performance! The website is clearly old, and the structure inside the building has many stairs and is not barrier-free.Also, since it is run by old-fashioned old guys, it seems difficult to provide support in English. The room is not small, but it is a tatami room typical of an old folk house. The sound is quite clear. So let's be quiet. It lacks the convenience and richness of the major companies, making it unsuitable for overseas tourists. And if those things are not a problem, I recommend it to the highest class. The location is at the base of the stairs of the city's symbol temple, a few steps walk from the Shirahata hot spring zone. It is a perfect place for sightseeing in Kusatsu as it is likely to be reflected in tourists' photos. The hot spring is not large, but you can enjoy the pale white cloudy Shirahata source in the open-air bath. It's open 24 hours a day, and you can see the Yubatake, so your Kusatsu experience is extremely high. The indoor bath is also retro, but the temperature of the hot water is effective to a certain extent. The location and hot springs are by far the best, and the dinner and breakfast are simple and well-prepared.There are no bad owners or lack of cleaning, which is common in guesthouses, and it has a nice feel. However, the price is that of a guesthouse. It's surprisingly cheap. It is a traditional inn that I hope will continue as it is.Visited in May 2024.

A good old ryokan run by a 3rd generation owner with a lovely smile and his family. It's a 20-step walk from Shirahata, the hot spring source, and naturally the quality of the spring water is good, and the food is homemade, simple, and very delicious. My husband and I have been enjoying hot spring trips for over 20 years, and this is one of the ryokans we're glad we've visited. As it is a famous hot spring town, there are some excellent inns, but it is perfect for couples to enjoy a consecutive weekend trip during Golden Week. (It just so happens that the other customers are also couples)
