I stayed the night before playing golf.I decided based on the reviews that the food was delicious. It was deliciousAnd I never thought I could drink Ebisu draft beer lolIt is better not to expect a bath. There is a hot spring nearby, so I recommend that.I think it's good if you have something to do nearby and want to eat delicious food.It was a little difficult to go from the room on the 2nd floor to the toilet on the 1st floor lol

The host, the landlady, and everyone else are very kind, kind, and polite. Dinner is plentiful and delicious. It was towards the end that I realized that the all-you-can-drink price was 3,500 yen.The rooms are also carefully cleaned. I think I want to go again.

Old school inn, no frills Japanese style tatami mats, shared sinks, dining, toilets and bathrooms. However amazing hospitality. Host picked us and dropped us off at the station (and dropped by the lake to show us around). clean, warm and cosy. The standout is the Superb spread of food for breakfast and dinner everyday. Absolutely delicious. Definitely get two meals/day (8300yen pp/night at the time we booked) as restaurant options in the area are almost non existent and no supermarkets/convenient stores nearby. The inn sells discounted Suginohara lift passes, and the lift pass comes with a free entry (usually 500yen) into Naena no yu onsen (few mins walk) so we didn’t even need to use the inn’s shared baths during our stay. The hosts do not speak English so if you don’t speak Japanese it is difficult to make reservation over the phone: it is recommended to message them on Facebook messenger using Google translate. (Do check with them directly even if booking websites show it is fully booked)

Very cosy inn that’s extremely well priced for the full board option (breakfast and dinner). Hosts were really friendly and we got picked up to and from the JR station. Would definitely recommend if you are after accommodation thats very close to Sugi slopes ( technically can ski in/out) in authentic Japanese accommodation style. Also hosts sell discounted lift pass with free local onsen. The best part about it were the daily meals, delicious and sizable!

A ryokan with delicious food. It looks old-fashioned but is run by a fun couple. The sashimi is exquisite, and sometimes the owner goes fishing and buys it himself. The restaurant also serves seasonal handmade vegetables and rice, as well as natural wild vegetables and mushrooms from Mt. Myoko. During the ski season, it's crowded with regular customers, but they're all nice people, so most of the people who sit with me at that time become regulars (lol).

Stayed here with my brother and I can say we both have very enjoyed the place. If you want to experience real Japanese style living and traditional and very delicious meals, then this is place you want to stay. Don't expect 5 star hotel, but rather very welcoming owner, service and very pleasant stay and Japanese experience. Ski resort only 5 minutes walking is the cherry on the top.
