Really nice hosts. Quiet and nice place to chill after skiing. Location is great walking distance to Akakura, other fields are about 10 min drive. Breakfast was good, 850yen for cereals, toast, ham, cheese, juice, spreads etc. 400 yen for washing to be done.

Unreliable, poor communication, money hungry.We booked one night accommodation at Guesthouse Aozora Blue Sky not realising the check in time was strictly no later than 8pm (because of potential snow fall blocking roads to entry). We couldn't arrive any earlier due to fixed shuttle schedules so Aozora Blue Sky asked us to be able to guarantee that we would be able to be dropped off at the accommodation after 8pm, even if there were snow falls. Our very helpful shuttle company provided this guarantee to Aozora Blue Sky but despite this, Aozora Blue Sky refused to allow us to keep our booking (leaving us without accommodation) but still charged us 100% of our booking fee. When I questioned why we should have to pay full fee when Aozora Blue Sky is telling us to cancel, their reply was the cryptic and childish answer of "we are not encouraging you to cancel. we just need you to make sure to check in by check in time." Effectively leaving us in limbo as to whether our booking has been cancelled because they seem unable to communicate reasonably.Highly unimpressed that we could have resolved the issue all within 24hours without taking up any more of each others time but instead they dragged out the process over days and took our money.Thankfully, the area has surrounding accommodation with fantastic communication.

I was able to spend a comfortable time with great hospitality. Even though it was the last minute, they kindly agreed to prepare dinner for me, which was helpful. I will definitely return again! thank you very much.
