I stayed here for 2 nights during Golden Week. Total cost: 32,000 yen including dinner for a solo traveler. I think it was quite reasonable considering it was tourist season. It looks like it has been renovated, but since it is a historical inn, the whole thing is old. Traces of the big New Year's earthquake could be seen everywhere, but I decided that it couldn't be helped. The room had a great view of Lake Kamo and was in a good location, but unfortunately the ventilation fan in the bathroom was making loud banging noises all night long due to strong winds, and it was so noisy that I woke up several times. The food was mainly seafood and was very delicious. Refills of rice were free.As for the bath, the men's and women's baths were fixed and did not change from time to time. Looking at the information, the women's bath looks quite fashionable, so I wish they would have introduced a shift system at all times.

It was my first stay on Sado Island. At the Shiiya Hotel, I was taken care of like the best family! For me, as a single tourist from Poland, it was very important and I am very grateful for the exceptional hospitality I received there 🤗 Beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, food so delicious that I still remember the unique taste of the dishes. The room overlooks Lake Kamo, transfer available from the hotel to Ryotsu port. Forever in my heart ❤️all the best to the best Shiiya Hotel Staff!

The facility was old, but the toilets and washrooms had been updated. The hot springs were circular and had a retro atmosphere, and the quality of the hot springs was good. After checking out, a light rain fell,Manager outside? I was humbled to see you off.

I stayed here for 2 nights to participate in a cycling event in Sado. It is located about 2 km from the Ryotsu ferry terminal, and Lake Kamo is right in front of you. The building is old, but the new building seems to have been renovated. I stayed in the old building, so to be honest, it was an old inn room, but it was well-cleaned and the toilet had a flush toilet seat. The food is what you would call ryokan cuisine, but it uses fresh ingredients from Sado, and both dinner and breakfast were satisfying. I think I will stay here again the next time I go to Sado.

I can't help it because I stayed at a cheap price. The building is very old and the rooms are old, but the tatami mats are clean and the location is good, near the lake outside. The futon was clean and I had a good night's sleep. This time it's autumn, so I didn't have any trouble with insects, but looking at other posts, there are a lot of insects, and it says it's summer, but I wonder if they changed the screen. Maybe just the sash was renovated? We only had meals in the morning, but the quality of the food was probably lower than in business hotels, as the tofu in the boiled tofu was hard. The staff responded reasonably well, but the retro phone in the room did not connect to the front desk. Also, maybe because it's an old hotel, the only outlet is in front of the TV, so I have trouble charging my smartphone.Ruins across the lake? building is creepyThere is also a large public bath, and there is also a bath in the room, but it is a great Showa era bath. The bath is a hot springThere was a smell from the toilet, but it wasn't there. But next time if I am asked to stay in Ryotsu again, I will choose somewhere else.
