BEWARE!!!The location is great but the bunk i was supposed to sleep in had visible bed bugs in it when i lifted the frame to inspect. Window sills covered in dust and the dorms were just generally filthy around the edges.Unless you want bed bugs stay away

I'm happy that I didn't pay more for a room there as I did, because I would have felt cheated. The only reasons I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 are because of location and free parking. The room was dirty (leftover garbage from previous guests) and cold. I had to sleep with woolen socks and a sweater on top of my pyjamas so as to not freeze. Also when I asked for directions around Aoshima, the clerk just asked me to use Google Maps. That's pretty bad service if you ask me.Also, we are 8 guests, but there was only 1 shower and 1 toilet. And the faucet thingy kept falling off.No lockers for valuables either. They still ask us to take off bed sheets before we check out, so we're basically doing their job for them - so why don't they use the extra time to clean? It's a shame really, since the room actually looked pretty.

This is a pleasant guest house where foreigners also gather. There is a main building and an annex,Is the main building a renovated house? Or, it feels like it's designed for accommodation. This time I uploaded a photo of the annex. Was it once a restaurant? Renovate a building likeIt looks like there are several beds in the tatami room.WiFi sometimes connects and sometimes doesn't, depending on the time of day.Because the shared or working space is smallI feel like it's not suitable for workcations. There is only one shower room (bathroom). First come first served. There is no changing room, and it is simply covered with a partition, but I am worried about what I will do if I run into someone using the restroom. The sensor lights turn on automatically except in the bedroom, but they go off and on quickly... Of course, I'm really concerned about shared spaces disappearing all the time. From the shared space and bedroom windowI couldn't sleep because the overflowing sensor lights were flickering. So I spread out bath towels on the hanger provided and covered the window with the towel. It's nice to be able to keep the bedroom completely dark by using blinds or curtains.

There was a dining area right next to the bed, and I could hear people chatting, which was a problem. Also, the sheets were sandy, probably because there were a lot of surfers. It didn't bother me that much so I was fine with that. The owner wasn't there when I went, so I don't know if it's a hermit? I was shown around by someone like that, but it was inappropriate and sad.The bath is equipped with body, jumper, and conditioner, and I think it's good because it's not a commercial bath. It's quite cheap.

Great hostel. Quite a simple accomodation but has everything you need, nice atmosphere, very relaxed vibe and easier to meet other travellers compared to other hostels in Japan. Walking distance to beach. Loved my stay here.
