Sanbo…Thanks for taking care of me during my three-day stay here.1. The location is very good:There are 100-yen shops, Muji, Kaldi and supermarkets in the bus station and shopping mall, just across the road. Xiaoqi and Seria are a 3-minute walk.2. The room partition was very confusing at first, why is there a large locker above the end of the bed? However, since the opposite door is a wall, you won't encounter people when opening the door, making it easy to get in and out.3. Bed: Very good. The base of the bed is made of wood so it is very stable. The mattress and pillows are great for sleeping. The bedspread and two layers of quilts, including the blankets, had residual smoke smell, but it gradually disappeared.4. The female-only toilet is on the fourth floor and is very clean.5. Bathroom: bright, spacious and clean.Although the room was fully booked today, I went out to soak in the hot springs before coming back. As a result, it was fully booked and the bathroom was also very empty. It was even quieter at seven o'clock in the evening.(Except for the sound of trying to open the door when checking in.)Quiet, very quiet, so quiet that I turned the TV to mute first, and then turned it off altogether.6. Will come in every day to pick up trash, make beds, and replace towels and hot water bottles. (I thought they wouldn’t come in for three days, so they had to take care of themselves and take out the trash. But the service here is so good!)7. The toilet in the female-only restroom on the fourth floor is not flushable. The toilet seat was cold.8. There is no removable tissue in the room, and there is no free Wi-Fi, but there is a comfortable low tea table, TV, towel rack and two clothes hangers. All the necessary items are complete. It is so comfortable that I forget that this is not my room!

It was good pointAlthough it's not very spacious, it's a good room with a mix of Japanese and Western style, a shiny stainless steel bath, and a cheap price.Bad pointsI couldn't wear my loungewear gown because it smelled so bad of insect repellent.I can't say it's a convenient hotel. There is no automatic lock, there is no coin laundry (maybe I just didn't notice), and there are only shrines and vending machines nearby, so you can't buy anything at night (there is a supermarket, so it's not a problem unless it's late). It's also a bit of a walk from the station. However, I like the atmosphere because it makes you feel like you're on a trip. It's an inn somewhere between a guesthouse and a hotel. Considering the price, I think this is a "hit" accommodation. After drinking some delicious sake at a quiet izakaya in Naoetsu, I sobered up and walked a short distance to sleep at this hotel. I had the best night as a solo male traveler, and I fell in love with the town of Naoetsu.

The toilet and bath are shared, but the toilet has a Western-style washlet. The building is old, but the rooms are relatively clean. You can park your bike under the eaves, and considering the price, it's all you need and it's very good.
