Had a week stay with a group of 14 (including 6 kids under 6). Hired the whole lodge and it was an awesome place for our 4 families to have their own rooms but shared common areas for meals and the kids to play. Included breakfast was great with bar access at night. Great location but a car/van is recommended especially if you have kids. Great host who organised all our restaurant and bookings and helped with the van booking. Highly recommend for a group stay.

Soto house was a wonderful experience. We were able to host a Thanksgiving dinner at this location and it was lovely. The facilities were clean and allowed a group of 11 enjoy the space all together. It was intimate and rooms were comfortable. Beds were great and every room had its own heater. There wasn’t an issue with the morning routine as there were plenty of sinks, restrooms and showers.

We stayed at Soto Myoko to celebrate Thanksgiving as a getaway from Tokyo, and it was perfect. The rooms are all clean and comfortable, and the lounge/dining room were great for hanging out. It’s warm, bright, close to Akakura town and has a great view of Myoko. I would recommend staying here at any time of year.

We rented out SOTO for an Autumn company retreat and it was perfect. It was comfortable and warm, and the lounge was great for shared meals and group sessions. Views of Mt. Myoko from the lodge are stunning.

Went for a weekend trip to escape the Tokyo heat. Amazing lodge just down hill from Akakura and a short drive to Lake Nojiri and St Coursair winery. If you’re in need of a getaway, I can’t recommend Soto enough. Looking forward to coming back in the winter!

Had a lovely first time trip to Myoko this summer and stayed at Soto lodge. Beautiful mountain scenery, nearby lake and lots of unexpected great places to eat/drink nearby. A great place to visit to escape the big city heat. The accommodation was extremely well kept and a great host too :) definitely need to come back again for the winter.
