As a Niigata resident, I am familiar with the old ``Kokoro Zawa Zawa~Oyu ga Zawa Zawa'' commercial, and I was finally able to go there.I have stayed at several hot spring inns and hotels near Yuzawa...As expected, there were many cars with Kanto area plates.I had a Japanese-style room with twin beds.My room was on the station side, so I could hear the departure bell until the very end.I was worried about safety because the large window opened, and there was dust and dead insects under the inside of the window, dust on the toilet shelf, and the inside of one of my slippers stuck to my feet? I wonder if it's difficult to clean in a large hotel due to deterioration over time. Some of the hot springs were also closed, which was a shame.Dinner and breakfast were a buffet, which was ingenious and enjoyable. The small rice balls in the morning were delicious.During the GoTo and prefectural distribution period due to the coronavirus, it was normal for everyone to take a buffet with masks, hand sanitizer, and vinyl gloves, but now some people were not wearing gloves, so I was worried... (I haven't contracted coronavirus yet)Also, if I have a chance, I would like to use it.postscriptA year later, I stayed in a ReFa room with a semi-open-air bath.

The food was delicious and the hot springs were perfect. It's right in front of the Shinkansen station, so I think it's perfect for gathering a lot of people from far away. The attentiveness of the employees was also very good.

I stayed here a year ago to celebrate my birthday. When I entered the room, there was a HAPPY BIRTHDAY celebration, which made me very happy.During the meal, we were served red and white wine, which I received with a smile and a thank you, but since I don't drink alcohol...The buffets at hot springs are pretty similar no matter where you go, but the buffet here was different and delicious. The hot spring had a nice atmosphere and I was able to relax. It was great to be able to buy souvenirs near COCOLO Yuzawa.

Used for consecutive nights on weekdays in October1, roomA room on the 4th floor near the elevator, facing the station with a good view of the morning sunrise, a Japanese-style room about 8 tatami mats in size, the air conditioning being old-fashioned but very effective, the ventilation fan making a noise but providing great ventilation, and plenty of outlets. There were a lot of rooms, and there were even extension cords, which is great for someone like me.There was no screen door, I slept well with the futon and pillows, and it was a very quiet room.If I were to stay next time, I would choose this room again.2, Cooking (night)Positive points: The hot pot that you make yourself is very good, I had domestic pork sukiyaki and the pork was sweet and delicious, the pizza was unexpectedly delicious with lots of cheese, and the overall menu was elaborate, but it felt very Niigata-like. There wasn't any good Niigata food such as hegi soba, tare cutlet, or noppei. It may have been a coincidence, but the sashimi was cold, fresh, and delicious. However, I didn't know what kind of fish it was, so I thought it would be nice to have it listed.Negative points: Ventilation and air conditioning in the venue were poor. The air conditioning was working in one row of ceilings on the food side, but not on the audience seats by the window. There is a live kitchen (meat/tempura), so I feel like it can't be helped. The smell of oil was so strong that it made the floor slippery and left a strong smell on my clothes and hair, so I quickly ate what I wanted and left early, which was very disappointing.3, Cooking (morning)Positive points: The white rice was delicious, the raw eggs were good, and the miso soup with a strong miso/dashi stock was also delicious. Again, there was no outstanding Niigata food.Negative points: The smell of oil is still strong, although it's not as strong as it is at night, and although there may be a large selection of items, I was like, ``I want a second helping of this!'' There was no particular side dish that made me think,4, Bath[Kiri-no-Yu] was very nice both indoors and outdoors. The indoor bath has a feeling of openness even though it is an indoor bath because all the glass doors are opened, the Jacuzzi (a little weak) and the open-air bath are relaxing, and there is chlorine because of the circulation. The hot water was nice and warm, but the feeling of freedom was something I would recommend.Although the shower was a bit weak, there were plenty of washing areas, a slightly higher chair that would be comfortable for older people to sit on, and various shampoos. number,5, Customer serviceGuidance on the parking lot at check-in, explanation of the facility at the front desk, both men are polite and polite, and the woman who wears glasses always explains things with a smile. It is also a service industry. As someone who works in a business with a wide customer base, I think it's very difficult to be pleasant in this way.The staff serving the food at the dining hall were working hard to lower the plates, and they were smiling and smiling. I was working so hard that I wanted to put it down when I was done, so I said, ``Thank you!'' ', but there are some customers who think that's natural.6, comprehensiveYuzawa's representative hot spring hotel had some negative points, but the liberating large communal bath and quiet rooms made me want to come back again.

I stayed in the guest room on the top floor. The entrance and room were both spacious and very nice.As for the food, the sukiyaki meat that I made myself at the buffet was really delicious. I thought it was all the flesh of the turban shell, but it was just the top and there were mushrooms inside. I liked that bitter liver, so that was the only disappointment. The dessert pudding was extremely delicious. The bath was also very open and there were yellow ducks lined up in the large bath. The rock bath is also nice. The customer service of the staff is also very wonderful. After checking out, I said I wanted to go shopping at Echigo Yuzawa Station, and they let me park my car there.I would like to go again.

I live in Kansai, but I bought a car in Niigata and went on a trip to pick it up!The rooms are honestly old. However, the cleaning was thorough! But the highlight here is the buffet! The live kitchen had steak, tempura, seafood grilled, and more, and it was delicious! At check-in, when I pulled up to the front entrance, they checked my luggage, left my car there, and then went to the lobby to check in.There were a lot of customers and it was lively, but the hot springs were relatively empty, which was nice!

Although the building is old, it was clean and had a good value for money. The buffet had a wide variety of dishes, and the serving staff were the most polite and kind.Normally, the food service at any hotel is a bit tricky, but the staff at this hotel were very pleasant. In the off-season, it's not so crowded and the baths are empty, so it's recommended after Obon.
