I had the most incredible adventure at this hidden gem in Japan! Getting there was an exhilarating challenge, especially with heavy snow and limited transportation. The remote location made dining options scarce, adding an extra element of thrill to the experience. The guest house itself had a rustic charm that could be further enhanced with improved maintenance and room arrangements. Despite the challenges, the staff's warm hospitality shone through, adding a touch of magic to the entire stay. With a few adjustments, this guest house has the potential to become an unforgettable and thrilling destination for all adventurers!

The accomodations are comfortable, the hosts are incredibly friendly and thoughtful, and the food was a true highlight. The location is central to all of the local ski hills and restaurants, and convenient if you have a car.

The loveliest lodge I’ve ever stayed at, it was a well designed and considered space, and Mamiko’s meals are a real treat - every breakfast was healthy and wholesome, and we stayed in for her home cooked dinners on 3 consecutive nights too :) The hospitality we received from Mamiko & Atsushi was the real highlight, they made sure we were well taken care of and even sent us off with homemade banana bread.

In a mountain hotel, we found a refuge where time stands still, with warm hosts and exquisite cuisine, a place so special that we would like to keep it a secret. In the white and immaculate setting of the mountains, my companion and I found refuge in a hotel that seemed suspended in time, a place where the snowflakes danced to the rhythm of a timeless melody. As in a waking dream, we were welcomed by hosts whose grace and attention recalled evenings by the fire, those moments when every word and every gesture is imbued with warmth and sincerity. The interior of the hotel, with its warm woodwork and cozy fabrics, evoked the tranquility of an Alpine chalet, a cocoon far from the hustle and bustle of the world. The music, discreet but present, played a bittersweet symphony, tinged with nostalgia and reverie, recalling those Proust madeleines which awaken buried memories. Our room, a haven of peace, offered a breathtaking view of the snow-capped mountains, while the bed, like a cozy nest, promised nights enveloped in deep and restorative sleep. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, with every corner reflecting a love for order and beauty. But it’s the cuisine that has truly captured our essence, transforming every meal into a feast for the senses. The dishes, prepared with love and rare culinary mastery, were a tribute to the mountains: robust and refined, simple but extraordinary. Each bite was a journey through local flavors and traditions, a treat for the soul as much as the palate. As I leave this magical place, a secret wish crosses my mind: if only there was a distinction beyond the five stars, for these places that touch our hearts. Sharing this address is an act of generosity, but a part of me wants to keep it hidden, like a well-kept secret, a memory that warms the soul on cold winter days.

This B&B is so nice! Friendly owner, comfortable accomodation and delicious foods. If necessary, you can request dinner(It is a kind of "Teishoku" style in Japanese, not expensive). This B&B has a small bathroom, but there is a hotsprings nearby by taking 5 minutes on foot. We used this hotsprings "Lime Resort Myoko".

After reading the reviews and seeing the high ratings, I was full of curiosity and wanted to meet the owner and his wife. Contrary to the rumors, we had a fun night hearing lots of stories. The pension was in a good location and I was able to enjoy both Myoko and Kurohime.

Our group of 6 stayed in the Bjork while attending a cycling event in Myokokogen. We had a great time. The food was fabulous, the rooms where comfortable and the public space (with a vinyl record player) was chill. We would definitely stay there again!
