Not a very far walk from the train station. There are many little shops nearby but it isn't a very high traffic area. The room was fairly small, 1-2 people is fine. The staff was friendly and respectful, you are also able to ask for an iron with a board among other things and they will provide. The only thing I didn't like was that the room had very bright white lights, like I was in an office, which wasn't very cozy. I prefer warm yellow lights like most places have.

Firstly, this hotel is probably the smallest I’ve ever stayed in. Everything from the lift to the corridors to all aspects of the room are on the small size. …

I chose to stay here for my final night in Tokyo as the location is very easy for getting to Narita (Ginza line direct to ueno then the airport train from there) it’s also well located for everything else; Shibuya, Shinjuku, Tokyo station …

As a foreigner I found this hotel to be very welcoming. You can’t ask for much more than the welcomes they give you and genuine kindness. We left this hotel telling ourselves we would come back given the chance. The subway is down the street and plenty of food and beautiful Akasaka sights to see nearby. The room size is small but that’s normal for Japan. Very accommodating to foreigners and we are very thankful for that!

Very good hotel. Rooms are small but not the smallest we saw in Japan. Free coffee and tea all day long. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect because it's within 10 mins walk from 3 different metro stations, served by several lines. If you are a tall person though, please ask for a room with high ceiling and no low-hanging beams. My 190-cm-tall boyfriend had to bend his head all the time.Apart from that, everything was perfect

My husband and I had planned a 2 week vacation to Japan to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had our reservation (for 3 days) in Hotel Akasaka Urban and it was paid for.Unfortunately there was a warning for a super typhoon in Tokyo during the period of our stay, as per the Japanese Meteorological Agency. Due to this, we were forced to reschedule our vacation. We contacted the hotel and attempted to reschedule our reservation but we were informed that there are no rooms available. We requested them to give us a refund as we did not wish to risk landing in Tokyo during the typhoon (We were also worried that safety instructions would be in Japanese and we wouldn't be able to follow them in case if an emergency). However, the hotel refused us a refund stating that it was against their cancellation policy. All our other hotels in Japan either rescheduled our booking or gave us a refund. I am highly disappointed with Hotel Akasaka Urban for not taking into consideration the situation and charging us for all 3 nights.

Akasaka Urban Hotel is a hotel built recently. It is a modern hotel in the center of Akasaka zone, near to Chiyoda (Tokyo Palace) and 25 minutes walking to the Shibuya crossing and Tokyo Tower. The rooms are very small but modern and well-equipped (TV, AC, free tea, slippers). The service is attentive and polite but it is not prepared to speak English. Good value for money.

Nice place for living Short time in tokyo which is very near to tameike- Sanno subway station. From here any one can move easily to any points of the city. The room facility is good and their services are amicable. They offer complementary Japanese breakfast with several dishes which are delicious.
