Tetsuro-san is a great host! The hotel is ideally located, 15 minutes walk from Asakusa station and Iryia station (use the latter because it is very practical, few people and close to Ueno / Akihabara) and very close to Senso-Ji! Allowing you to enjoy the most visited group of temples in Japan without too many people if you get up early enough! Not far away is also the Tokyo Skytree and the Asahi headquarters (golden flame or golden turd of your choice 🥲). Our room was large and practical. Tetsuro-san seems very involved in the tourist activity of the neighborhood and speaks perfect English.PS: I already miss Japanese toilets.

The boss can speak English and Chinese and is very friendly. If you have any questions, you can ask him! I stayed here for six days on a family trip. It is about a 15-minute walk from Asakusa Subway Station or Iriya Station. There are convenience stores nearby and it is also close to the Asakusa business district. Overall, the CP value is very high. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo and other supplies will be provided. The room also has a small refrigerator, induction cooker and hot water kettle~

We have been at Tetsuro's accommodation for several weeks and fully recommend it. On the one hand, the owner is very friendly and always willing to help you.Regarding the facilities, they are as in the photos. The beds are quite comfortable (even as Westerners we have been able to rest quite well). The hotel has four rooms so it is very quiet, we never heard noise from other guests. The neighborhood is very quiet but at the same time in 10 minutes you are in the heart of Asakusa and the Sensoji temple. Nearby there are also large supermarkets and a convenience store just below. The nearest subway station is the Hibiya line which is 1km away. For us this was not a problem because we rented some bicycles and we moved around a lot with them. Many days we went to Ueno directly with them and from there we moved to Shinjuku with the Yamanote line. We traveled the entire area east to Chiyoda by bicycle. It is also close to the SkyTree even within walking distance. The truth is that we really liked the area despite not having a metro stop very close. The neighborhood is quiet and there is not much traffic on the street, sometimes a car can be heard a little but nothing exaggerated. He also helped us with the internet connection, which was important for us for work reasons and worked very well for us.Without a doubt if we return to Tokyo we will return to Tetsuro's accommodation.Thank you very much 🫂(Attached photo of the views from the hotel terrace)

Hotel Little Bird was the perfect place for us! We were traveling in a group of 4 (43 year old dad, 18 year old son, 13 year old daughter, and 21 year old nephew). We stayed 10 nights and are sad we have to leave! The location is about 10 minutes from the Iriya station on foot or 15 from Asakusa. It is in a peaceful area but one that is still well served with restaurants. We loved this as we had the option to jump on a train or bus to get to all the major places in Tokyo very easily but didn't have to deal with the noise or crowds of the areas like Shinjuku or Shibuya. The facilities were very comfortable for our needs, and it was great having a fridge and stove top in our room as well as access to a microwave and washer/dryer in the common areas as well as a great roof top terrace with views of the Skytree and such. The best reason to stay at Little Bird is the management though. Tetsuro is amazing! Very kind and incredibly helpful. He was able to help us with things like tickets to a sold out concert, recommendations on food and entertainment, and he provides tours of different parts of the city as well. He can customize based on what you want. We did an Edo period tour, and it was the highlight of our trip! We will definitely be back to Hotel Little Bird on future trips to Tokyo!

It sure is a hidden gem of Asakusa! The room is clean and neat. It won’t cost you extra even if you bring another person. The hotel has a nice little rooftop space which offers a refreshing view around. The owner is very nice and charming, always willing to serve his guests with abundant knowledge and heart. Moreover, I’ve found Oku-Asakusa where the hotel is located is known to those in the know. It has not only historic sites, shrines and temples, but a lot of good small cafes and restaurants. You will not regret staying this hotel but will definitely feel at home and love to stroll around the neighborhood!!SMALL TIPS: If you are willing to spend 15-20 minutes to have a nice walk to Asakusa Station, as we were, Ginza Subway Line (Japan’s 1st full-fledged subway since 1927), will directly take you to Ginza Station in 20 minutes and Shibuya Station in 30+ minutes (both no transfers). Tokyo Skytree is 20 minutes away from Asakusa Station by Tobu Skytree Line. Also, there are a number of convenient bus routes in this area that take you to near-by stations (e.g. Asakusa Kotobukicho, Tawaramachi, Nippori; Just ask Google maps!). Buses in Japan are very reliable, safe, clean, mostly on time, and offer unique, interesting opportunities to watch local people!!
