They accommodate families, groups, and large groups, and are open from the morning on the day of your stay, and are very convenient as they are close to the ski resort.

The very friendly owner of the inn and his cute dog Mame welcomed us!There was so much snow around the pension that it was a little difficult to drive, but the food and the kotatsu in the room were great! !The water pressure in the shower in the bathroom was so low that I laughed. The food was heart-filling, and I had a lot of fun talking with the owner.

It's a little hard to find where to enter, but the man at the inn was talkative and interesting, and the food was delicious.

This is one of the pensions near the ski resort in Tsumagoi Village. There are several similar pensions nearby, but this one didn't have a sign at the entrance, so I got lost for a while after arriving. It's located in a very secluded area, so it feels like a hideout. As I went all the way to the back, there was a vacant lot where several cars could be parked, and I was able to park my car there. The building is a little dated, but it seems to be well maintained. The friendly owner seemed to be running the place by himself, and the interior had a lively, training camp-like atmosphere. The room I was shown to was a Japanese-style room.Since winter is coming, there was a kotatsu in the room, which was very relaxing. For dinner, the owner cooked the food himself, and we were served meat dishes. It's a bit disappointing that the dishes other than meat were cold.I was surprised when the side dish of shredded cabbage (a famous cabbage in Tsumagoi Village) was served piled high on the plate. We had a Japanese menu for breakfast, but it was a shame that some of the dishes were cold.I want to eat hot food while it's still warm, even if it's lentils, so I would like the owner to improve this. This pension has a very personable owner, so I hope they continue to do their best.Furthermore, since it is located between Kusatsu and Karuizawa, it is easily accessible to either direction.

I got very lost as there was no guide board. Tsumagoi is not very tourist friendly as there are few guides throughout the village. It is best to bring your own shampoo at your accommodation. Also, people who don't like dogs should avoid it.
