I was able to stay there with a pretty good deal, but it was a waste. The building is small and uses wood everywhere. And there were many things that reminded me of the Showa era. It was a relaxing stay. The bath was small, but it was empty so we reserved it for ourselves. The hot water is clear and alkaline, leaving your skin smooth. Isawa Onsen seems to be a hot spring in an unusual location, so I took a bath while reading the explanation. I want to come in the cooler season next time.

It was over 50 years old and had the word "hatago" in the name, so I was worried that it might be old, but my fears turned out to be unfounded. The exterior is clean, but the area around the front desk is decorated with retro goods from the Showa era, as well as armor inspired by the Takeda army centered around Lord Shingen (?), making you feel like you've traveled back in time. I did.In the hallway next to the front desk, there were many old Showa era signboards and black telephones, and I was able to touch them all and have a lively conversation with my children.I also thought that the sound of ``Mishi, Mishi'' when walking through the corridor with beautifully painted boards was very interesting.I learned from the explanatory signboard that the hot springs are also very historic. After staying there, I thought, ``This is such an amazing and nice place.''

Hidden place in the middle of foreign place. Must say a truly Japanese style accommodation, with fully-equipped modern facilities and amenities but feel cultural. The place is surrounded by nature trees, koi fishes, mount fuji, good air. The dinner and breakfast was excellent with basic Japanese style food. The onsen was small but ok, they have cut off a fountain slot due to low occupancy, and the water should be more heated, 40 degrees by the time Ive been there. It’s also hard to get reception at the middle of the night, maybe no services by then.100% worth to stay as to experience a true Japanese life.Thank you all staff for being kind ❤️
