I used it for a day trip. You can immediately feel that it is a little different from a normal hot spring. There is a large, gentle dog like a stuffed animal in front of the toilet.

I took advantage of Megumi's day trip bath on her way back from climbing. The acidic spring quality made my skin really beautiful. I've been to many hot springs, but this is the first time I've experienced acidic hot springs, and I'm very impressed. There are many things you can want, but I would be grateful if you would place emphasis on the quality of the hot springs. The landlady and the cute Akita dog are waiting for you.

I stopped by for a drop-in bath.Although it is reasonably priced at 300 yen, it is said to be a very rare hot spring. The timing was perfect, and we were able to fully enjoy it.The water was reddish-brown and warm, and it was very nice. However, if they could do something about the spider webs all over the building...Also, there is a huge Akita dog in front of the toilet, so please be careful not to be surprised.

20240905 "Esan Onsen". Use the hot springs for a day trip. Opened in 1932. Reception for bathing 6:00-20:00. Adults: 300 yen. Free shoe storage, no lockers. Only a changing basket in the changing room. No soap, shampoo provided, no hair dryer. There are two indoor baths and one indoor bath. The spring quality is a hypotonic acidic hot spring containing acidic iron(II) aluminum sulfate spring (formerly acidic alum-green bean spring). The spring temperature is around 41.5℃. pH2.2. Light yellowish brown, transparent, acid astringent taste, odorless. The hot water is drawn directly from the crater of Mt. Esan, and as it is highly acidic, soap cannot be used. The quality of the spring water was excellent, and the water was reminiscent of famous strong acid hot springs such as Sukayu Onsen and Tamagawa Onsen. I feel like I'm getting a good deal by soaking in this class of strongly acidic spring for just 300 yen. There is a friendly Akita dog named Nana-chan (8 years old with sesame hair) at the inn.

rest assured! We are open for business 😊Because the hot springs are highly acidic with a pH of 2.4, shampoos will not lather and are useless, so just bring a towel. The water is lukewarm, but you can enjoy it for a long time. Isn't summer perfect? I think so.However, if you stay for too long, customers will start coming in one after another. The bathtub here will fill up if three people enter, so check the parking lot and changing basket before taking a bath.I was surprised to find such a famous hot spring near Hakodate!
