I spent one night with a group of 4 other people and the experience was amazing. Large rooms, stunning views, exceptional service... The traditional breakfast was abundant and you could tell it was prepared with great care. The only bad thing was not staying more days!

Location: Close to high-speed interchangeThe guest room is a two room room.It was spacious, and the toilet was Western-style and clean.Meals include salt-grilled char;Char sashimi, homemade pickles,Bear meat hotpot, tempura, kamameshi,I think it was steamed maitake mushrooms in a clay pot. It's a shame that there's only one piece of bear meat.Salt-grilled char is delicious. There is also a large amount of cooked rice. The okoge was delicious.Home-cooked seasoningOverall thin.Young people may not be satisfied with the seasoning. On the other hand, I think it's better for older people. The only disappointing thing is that the bathroom is small. If 2 people enter, it's full. It's more of a guest house than a hotel.Good for people who like that kind of atmosphereAlso, Wi-Fi is only available on the first floor.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! I absolutely loved the comfortable, clean, and peaceful traditional Japanese rooms. The exquisite dinners and breakfasts were a highlight, and the owners were incredibly kind and helpful. The convenience of the bus stop for the World Heritage line right in front of the guesthouse made exploring the area easy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I definitely recommend this ryokan to our family and friends.

We found this ryokan by Hotels.com. We were looking for an traditional location and this one is even better because it has good beds and no tatami mats!! …

It was the worst inn in history, and I think the current high rating means that the management has changed.I stayed here for three weeks on a business trip a few years ago, and the service and facilities were the worst.

I don't know if it was a coincidence or not, but even though the cooked rice for dinner was sticky and cooked individually, at least it was the same for my family. My impression is that the breakfast was better.

There are many reviews saying that the food is delicious, but for breakfast, the only side dishes were pickles, fried eggs, and simmered dishes, and I wanted a main side dish such as fish. The person sitting next to me said the same thing. Miso soup was too bland.Dinner was also a disappointing meal, with only one bite of the main bear meat and no soup. The woman at the front desk was unfriendly, the bathroom was small and dirty, and I think the hotel doesn't care about its customers. The price was comparable to that of a ryokan, but everything else was at the level of a guesthouse or hostel.
