Close to Matsumoto Castle, convenient for visiting attractionsThe lobby is small. When parking, please note that the parking lot needs to be turned from the side road.

The Celecton was a great experience. Breakfast was great, no problems leaving bags for a later pickup. Close to Matsumoto Castle, which was my main reason for our short stay. Make sure you visit castle at night. It was lit up very well for my stay.I didn't get to try the shared bathroom experience.

This hotel exceeded my expectation. The room was spacious with a view of Matsumoto Castle. Location was 5 mins walk to the castle, which seemed closer than we thought. Only downside would be the parking fee.

It's located in a location where you can see the Matsumoto Castle tower from the window, so it's a good base for sightseeing in Matsumoto. However, the parking lots are scattered around the area, and you won't know where they will be until the time comes. Unfortunately, I had to park on the street in front of the hotel and ask the front desk for instructions on where to park. The room is compact but sufficient for sleeping. The ventilation duct was noisy, so I closed it and slept.Although it is called a public bath, it is not that large. Especially since there are only two washrooms.Don't expect much from breakfast, but overall it's a clean and convenient business hotel.

It's a bit of a walk from Matsumoto Station, so you may want to consider taking a taxi during winter or bad weather. The rooms have all the necessary facilities, but you should expect that the rooms on the first floor have no view and the windows cannot be opened. The breakfast seems to be carefully prepared, but the lack of items is a negative point.

When I looked at the top of the bed frame, it was white, so I looked closely and saw that it was dust. There is a duct that takes in outside air on the road side of the room, and from there there is a duct that takes in outside air.The sound of running cars was very loud. It said not to close the duct. I had self-serve coffee, so when I asked the person at the front desk, they just nodded and didn't say anything. Breakfast was a big deal as there weren't many items for the price.

September 2024, three nights over a holiday weekend. Because of the holiday, prices were about ¥10,000/night per person; kind of high for what this place is, I think. But overall an okay place. The building is completely nondescript. This could be an office building, or a mini storage. There is no obvious place to park while you check in. Lobby is tight, but when the "café" is closed, you can hang out at those tables/booths if you like. The car parking is apparently around the block somewhere. I came by motorcycle, and was able to park directly behind the building. This is amazing, sometimes you have to park very remotely and it's a huge pain. So that's a plus.Check in was smooth. Staff was all super pleasant and professional. My plan did not include breakfast, but I bought it for my last morning. I think it was around ¥900? but I would only recommend breakfast if you absolutely need to eat. It was just okay, and the single coffee machine only brews one cup at a time and people were lined up to use it. Not ideal.Conbinis are not super close, maybe a 5-minute walk? I guess that's not so far. No supermarkets in the area, and not so many restaurants. However, it is quite convenient to Matsumoto Castle, and about a 15-minute walk to "downtown" Matsumoto City.A piece of my camping gear had broken, so I asked the staff if they could accept an Amazon delivery at the front desk. It was a small item with guaranteed next-day delivery from Amazon. After confirming the particulars, front desk staff was very agreeable and this was a big help, since my next stop was more camping. On site coin laundry was a lifesaver. Some vending machines in that room as well. The room was a little cramped, and the three different styles of faux-wood paneling wallpaper did not make it feel bigger. Otherwise, room was adequate for my needs.Overall, not a bad place to crash if you are planning to spend most of your time outside of your room. Recommended, I might return.
