I guess it's the back parlor of Matsumoto. A hot spring inn in Migahara Onsenkyo. This is my first time using the service, and I chose a plan that included a private bath. For dinner, each person can choose a main dish. For the main dish, you can choose from the following:One of three types of sashimi"Assortment of 3 kinds of freshwater fish sashimi" "Horse sashimi" "Sea sashimi"This time it's "horse sashimi"One of three types of pottery"Scallop and Mushroom Gratin" "Salt-grilled River Fish" "Salt-grilled Prawn" This time, "Scallop and Mushroom Gratin"One of three types of table items"Shinshu Beef Stone Grilled Steak" "Shinshu Beef Shabu Shabu" "Seafood Ceramic Grill" This time "Shinshu Beef Stone Grilled Steak"We started with an aperitif, appetizers from Shinshu, soups, Western plates, strong side dishes, handmade soba noodles, seasonal grapes for dessert, and a bottle of Suwa Roman local beer Alto for drinks. The food was delicious and made us hungry.Breakfast was also delicious and made us hungry from the morning. Rainbow trout dried overnight, boiled tofu made from soy milk is the main dish. After that, there are five dishes to go with rice: homemade egg rolls, kamaboko, vegetable salad, yogurt, and plenty of it from the morning. Naturally, rice, miso soup, and pickled vegetables are included. The after-meal coffee is also coffee brewed with hot spring water. you can drinkI think it's a nice inn where you can relax.

We absolutely loved everything about this ryokan. It is located a 20-minute bus or taxi ride from Matsumoto station in a quiet neighbourhood. We took a taxi. The staff go above and beyond to help. We arrived on the day a typhoon was approaching, and our shoes were absolutely soaked—a very sad state of affairs. Before we even asked, they placed newspapers in our shoes to help them dry. The room was spacious, with lots of nice and quaint furniture, as well as very helpful amenities (face mask packs, gels and foot care products etc), and even a full-size massage chair in our room. While we were having dinner, our futon was prepared (like a ninja!). The dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing and delicious—almost too much food, though who would ever complain about having too much food? All the ingredients were local and fresh, with very helpful explanations from the staff about each dish. Everything was very tasty. Our room came with a private onsen, which was just next to our room at the end of the corridor, and we had about 45 minutes to use it. The outdoor onsen was very spacious with a nice view. The ambience of the hotel also made the ryokan special, with lots of beautiful furniture and portraits everywhere. I stopped so many times in the corridor to take photos. I couldn’t recommend this ryokan enough to anyone. The staff were incredible! There’s nothing to complain about—if anything, they are too perfect. Thanks for making our stay so special. We loved our stay and would love to come back.

First of all, the staff at this inn are wonderful. He was not pushy in his words, attentiveness, and mannerisms, nor was he rude in any way; he provided perfect customer service. The room is a relaxing Japanese-style room. It's clear to see that they have taken great care of the old guest rooms, and it puts your mind at ease. The path to the private bath is also very atmospheric, with Dosojin and other shrines along the way.I used the private bath for a morning bath, and the sunlight filtering through the trees was soft and the water temperature was just right, so I more than enjoyed it.I am very satisfied with the meal. The salt-grilled rock fish for dinner and tofu for the appetizer were very delicious, but the highlight was the horse sashimi. I have eaten horse sashimi in many places, but this was the best. The miso soup for breakfast was especially delicious. Also, the sake tasting set is full of great value. One thing I think would be better is that there are a lot of stairs inside the building, so I thought it would be easier to move around if I wore a Samue instead of a Yukata. I stepped on the hem of my yukata on the stairs and was a little scared. We had a really wonderful night. thank you very much.

Everyone was very nice, the food was delicious, the inside of the hotel was clean and we had a great time. thank you very much. It was also really fun to see that the inside of the building was like a maze. I brought my family from abroad, and they were very happy with the Japanese feel. It was only one night, but thank you for your help!

I visited Matsumoto for the first time in 17 years.I chose this because the hot springs looked good and the food looked like I'd enjoy it as well. When I arrived, I was happy that they changed me to a private hot spring that was an upgrade from the course I had booked. It seemed like I happened to have some free time, so I was able to enjoy it for over 50 minutes. The temperature was a little high.I thought it would be nice if there was a chair in the bathroom for a rest so I could take my time. There were three dishes to choose from, and my friend and I ordered something different. I chose shabu-shabu, but the staff turned on the pot too early (sweat).I wanted to enjoy the appetizers slowly while eating, but the pot quickly boiled over and I ended up eating shabu-shabu in a hurry.(In the end, the solid fuel ran out before I finished eating the meat, so I had them add more solid fuel.)People who eat while drinking alcohol eat at a fairly slow pace, so I think it's better to leave the timing of lighting the pot to the customer's own timing. However, overall I was satisfied with both the hot springs and the food. However, one thing I was disappointed with was the noise in the room. There's probably nothing that can be done about the structure of the building, but the sound echoes anyway. Sounds of doors opening and closing, footsteps, voices, etc.I think it had something to do with the fact that our room was right next to the stairs. Moreover, the customers on the floor above us were with children (two boys), so it was extremely noisy (laughing). My friend could hardly sleep because he could hear the constant sound of people walking and running around. (He said he wanted to call the front desk to complain.)This wasn't the hotel's fault, it was just bad luck, I guess. It was a small inn with a calm and chic appearance, so I thought it would be nice for adults to enjoy it in peace and quiet.
